I agree. From a civilian background looking in I would think you'd have to trust all your buddies to have your back when you needed them.

What and the guys and gals in the service don't pay their share of taxes? Looking back at my tax returns from the 80's and 90's, I paid plenty. So that statement of footing the tax burden is a crock. We all pay taxes pal. We service members may get a "good deal" of a free education/bene's, but we put our tails on the line in exchange for that.
As far as Mr. LDO goes, this guy is such an embarrasment to CPO's and Sr. enlisted everywhere. This yahoo should have known better than to bring more attention..unfriggin believable.
