B-52's flew low nights 1-3 too...some interesting stories there....

I have heard it said that were were really lucky we did not lose any B-52Gs that night, but I havent heard much about the actual stories.

Haven't lurked in a while. Nice to see something new. Civ vs. Mil....Nice. The Derby called, they want Barbaro back.

FWIW
I wore my nomex in demolition derby car once because I thought it would look better melted to my flesh than a mullet and a pantera t-shirt. .

Well if you are an F-117 pilot, the name D. Baker should mean something to you. :smash:

Though I am not an Intruder guy myself, I have had to opportunity to serve with a few folks that were. There was this one pilot/BN crew that I will never forget. I think the pilots' name was LT Jake Grafton and the BN was LCDR Virgil Cole. Man, those guys had balls. Rumor has it that they conducted an unsanctioned mission "downtown", to "Sam City" in North Vietnam and got their plane shot out from underneath them. Heard that LCDR Cole saved his crew by popping smoke for "Sandy" to use as a visual for a bombing run... in the process he sacrificed himself. Last transmission was, "I'd do it for you Sandy."

Balls I say... balls!
