I agree with you Capt. The majority rules!

Why not. I applaud them for having the balls to stand up and say something. This is one flight out of hundreds of thousands where the passengers took notice of something strange, something so strange that it prompted them to act. One flight - hardly profiling. It actually makes me feel more comfortable that people are more aware. Considering the threat is real, I'd rather have hundreds of people watching every move than 1 person confiscating my deodorant and toothpaste at security.

I agree with JDriver, flying is not a right. In fact, jet airliners, just like bars, restaurants, shopping malls, etc. are private property. They are not government entities, and you can and should be refused service if you do not meet decent standards of behavior and dress.

With every privledge, there comes a corresponding responsibility. If you want a ride, show up, and look, and act like a human being, not a terrorist, and you'll be treated like a human being. If you want to ride a jet looking like a terrorist, start your own fricking airline.

Like Dennis Miller, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

I don't know what your book states, but my Ops Manual says "The Captain is in charge of Inflight Security" from the point he steps on the aircraft until he de-planes. I take this responsibility very seriously and can assure my passengers if I say they are safe, they can bet my life on it. Profiles???? Whatever???? Every Pilot Here who occupies a pilot seat is the first line of defense. We are all charged with this responsibility for our customers, and our country! Let's live up to it by checking out our pax, listening to them, and everyone else concerned.

What does a foreigner look like? Just because they don't look or speak like you or me doesn't make someone a foreigner.

Being that probably 95% of all travelers are white, lets give those other 5% of the travelers their own line. This 5% will include ALL minority groups. This means that the lucky mexicans and blacks can get thru the line quickly since their line will be very short. The europeans are foreigners, therefore they get to go in that special line as well. This way it wont be profiling, more expediting.

....Clinton and Bush....regular line.

Ok, so two guys speaking Arabic (doesn't say they were Muslim) are kicked off the plane because a woman got alarmed that they were speaking Arabic, and then everyone else started to panic. Wednsday, they are flown back... on a plane with no incident or act of terrorism. I seemed to have missed the part in the article where these two gentlemen did something wrong.

Even though I personally disagree with many of their stances, I'm glad someone stands up to the hypocritical, loud-mouthed moral majority. Maybe some of you inbred rednecks need to read our Declaration of Independence.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.-.
That was put in there so shallow minded people couldn't force their views on the minority...it is the key to the freedoms we enjoy in the US and what sets us apart from the rest.
Sure, I don't particularly like Muslims. Not to thrilled with Jews, evangelical Christians, Catholics, fat people, ugly people, people that smell funny or have bad breath, old people, short people, butch looking lesbians, etc... but it's not my place to judge them.
Vigilance is a good thing. Unwarranted fear is not. If the simple minded among us are allowed to make irrational decisions for the whole, then the terrorists have already won the war.

When the framers drafted the Declaration, they did not have the ACLU in mind and this ridiculous racial labeling and finger pointing that every white man is branded with.

WE THE PEOPLE, and here is the part in the Declaration that GIVES US THE POWER to over throw the government when it no longer represents or protects our interests.
