SO.. if one were to do the multiengine.net program for 100 hours, I can log that as 100 hours PIC, right? Since I would be the sole-manipulator (the other guy is doing the surveys/inspections) and I'm a multi-engine rated pilot..
Right?
 :pimp:

The short answer: YES

You would fly 50 hours as both acting PIC and Logging PIC which would be a total of 100 hours.

Hmmm... If the real employee has to be looking out the window for the survey/inspections and can't fly, then that pretty much tells me that this so called "renter" as someone put it earlier is really a required crew member. Therefor it is PFJ just like Gulfstream. But I know where Russian is coming from. All the program FOs at GIA are paid 7 something an hour for their duty so I guess GIA is PFT but not PFJ. But I've got to say it again..... 7 something an hour!

In all honestly though, I do not have a problem with all this. Typical business in this country where EVERYTHING is a commodity. Always has been around and always will. Actually, I say send all the trust fund kids to places like this so they don't clog up the places I want to work to get my multi time (Ramex, FLX, AMF etc..)

Interesting what someone said about the famous alma maters. I'm just finishing up my Pawnee training for towing banners here in S. FL and a couple guys going through the process with me are fresh grads from ERAU and UND. The ERAU dude rocks and is a test away from A&P and grew up running an FBO with his dad at a grass strip in Cape Cod. The other dude from UND is flipping out 'cause he's close to washing out of the training and is offended. He's like "I graduated from UND and have a good bit if time in a Leer jet. This company just doesn't know the cream of the crop when they get it."

He almost killed me forcing a 172 onto the runway at like 80 knots without remembering to dump the flaps (After 100 knots all the way to short final.)

Anyway, the schools don't mean anything. I was always under the impression that ERAU were trashed a little more than UND grads but I was surprised.

Hey, Russian. You and Aeromatt ever getting wasted around Lauderdale or Hollywood you better PM me.

BTW, Russian. Do you ever notice us scooting around FLL with callsigns like "Banner 96E" getting cleared for the Alpha, Bravo, Yankee, or Yankee Zulu routes? Seems like everytime I'm out there I'm told to look for a 1900.

I confused threads - what I was refering to here was what one might find at an Ari Ben Aviator type of flight school which sells blocks of multi.

This arrangement is different than the pipeline patrol blocks found at multiengine.net

I'll let you know. I have Friday and Saturday off this week. We are all over the place down here. I went to the science museum and they had an aviation display. I sat and listened to the ATC tapes they had playing for quite a while. Every other callsign was Gulf Flight! 220 flights a day now or something.

When I was flight instructing I had to see and avoid you guys a lot. 500 feet down the beach baby!

We are hiring street Captains. Put your resume in or PM me for info.

Thanks for the invite, McJohn. I am afraid my flights keep me in either the Mountain West, Baja, or central Mexico but ya never know...

Russian, if you ever get on with ASA or Continental Exp, we could hook up in BJX and get hammered on some great Tequila at Carlos n Charlies
