Pilot House shirts have worked very well for me. They are a little thicker than the VanHusens but the cotton is soft and breathes well. They also hold their creases well.

The Pilot House shirts at pilotshirts.com. Have held up really well after two years, and don't show signs of wear (yellow stains, rips, etc.). I like the Oxford shirts best. Breathable, yet strong and look good with light starch and ironing. Very comfortable. I have the other type of their in-house tailored shirts, and it rubs my neck raw.

I probably won't ever switch. I'm sold on their tailored shirts.

Any tips to combat ring around the collar? usually get rid of my shirts before they are worn out due to that. I wash them at home.. not drycleaning..

Try crewgear.com. They have a 60/40 oxford blend with straight or button down collors that work well. They also have Van Heusen as well. Good deals on Serengeti sunglasses too. Ah hell, just check'em out, they have all kinds of cool stuff.

i always thought hawiian shirts were pretty comfortable.
