More TSA Furloughs Coming

Heard about 30 more furloughs coming soon...Will that be the end?

It's one thing to get furloughed because your company is losing money or goes out of business. Its another thing to get furloughed because your jobs are being given away to a company under the same managment. All you Aholes at Gayjet, who said, "i have to think about my family." What do you think about the families you are hurting now.

Heard from several reliable sources that TSA will furlough again, bringing the grand total up to 80 pilots. This is not official yet, but I have heard Sept. 1st is the walk date. This will affect pilots hired LAST June. So GJets is hiring, while Trans States pilots hired before GayJets even existed will be on the street.

You also have to include all the 41 captains who got bumped back to jet FO, plus a whole bunch of jet captains who just got displaced to FO. That number would be close to 80.

So even though I might, repeat might, be able to buy that excuse, why they would A: hire a whole bunch at the beginning of the year when they knew the 41s were going away, and then B: start furloughing before any of the J41 guys were done with jet training is something I won't understand.

I hate to say it but TSA is dead in the water. Sorry about the furloughs. All that flying is going to be transferred slowly but surely, to those aholes. Good luck. I hope you guys move on to bigger and better things. It would be great to see alot of you guys on the hiring panels at the majors some day. Then you can just sit back and let the gayjet worms squirm, as they realise they got absolutely zero chance. AWAC would be glad to see some of you standup pilots make your way over, if you need a job.

If every pilot was to worry about what others thought of them, than nobody would take a job at any regional.

Examples, Eagle blames tsa for taking their flying, so eagle pilot on an interview panel would refuse to hire tsa pilot.

Mesa has underbid everybody. Any pilot on an interview panel would say no to the bar lowering pilots at mesa.

Some have gone to PFT and they are lowering the bar so dont hire them.

Republic Holdings is taking flying from Express Jet so dont hire those bastards..

TSA was gonna take flying from Express Jet, we could never hire those clowns.

GJ has taken flying from TSA , those bastards are the scabs of the industry.

Last but not least....Sky West has no union, so they have to be scabs. They prevent ALPA on property everytime they cast a NO vote. None of their pilots are getting hired.

See a pattern here?

It doesnt matter to anyone on an interview panel because they will hire the best qualified pilots. If the interview goes well than what will you say to the other panel members? He worked at GJ so we cant hire him!

Do you really think that HR people and the Chief Pilot care about silly pilot union grudges? They have the responsibily of a company to run.

Trans States will never die. Hulas is the ultimate cockroach. I think the devil will slowly, but surely transfer 145s over to GJ until all that's left is the American Connection flying since that contract won't allow the 70 seaters on property. Huly lives in St. Louis so he won't want it to go away. He'll do his best to crush the spirits in contract negotiations to get as many senior guys and gals as possible to quit since they make the most and would be the ones not furloughed as it shrinks back to Connection flying only. I just hope they can hold out long enough to go on strike and force him to pay the much smaller group that will be left. I really wish you guys and gals weren't trapped in such a crappy situation. What really may hurt is that as the furloughs mount, the most junior people will be the first hired elsewhere and could very well end up much senior to those who hold out longer before looking elsewhere.

gojets will get it sooner or later... do you not realize you work for the same management that is screwing us here at TSA???? Just a few years ago TSA was growing with all the 145's coming on property just like what is happening now at go jets. I give it a few years before they treat you exactly the same way, and don't ever complain to anyone that TSA holdings treats you like sh@t.
