Yes. Nothing comes out of your paycheck to cover medical, dental, etc.
Aetna has one plan I'm considering that has no deductible and a $10 copay for office visits. I think there is a deductible for drugs, but it's not that much. Downside is there's no coverage outside the network so you're limited in what Doctors you can go to. The Doc I've been seeing for over 10 years is in that plan so it would work for me.

That's the one I use. My doctor, hospital and all of the specialists we've seen have accepted the Aetna EPO. Really an excellent plan. I even dropped Tricare Prime when I came to NetJets. The only downside is prescription drugs. There is a deductable each year that has to be met in addition to the co-pays for each drug. The drugs have three tiers - generic, formulary and non-formulary. I think the deductable is like $50 or $75 per year per person. The copays range from like $10 a month for drugs on the generic list on up. It's not horrible but it's still a major expense. Since I'm retired AF, I just drive down to Dover AFB and get my scripts filled down there for free. Between myself, my wife and son - it's about $90 a month in savings with the copays and deductable. Well worth the 30 minute drive every 90 days. Besides, the commissary trip is required every 30 days anyway.
