Posted on the training section of the company website: October 23rd upgrade class numbers TBD. I suppose they could always determine 0 as a number... Anyone hear any numbers floating around for the size of this next class?
 
The movement happens during an 8 minute turn in a 300, every day!

Yea some more movement at PDT...what like 16 upgrades in a year and a half...

Why are people having a hard time making upgrade at PDT? I'm sure most of the FO's would have at least 3 to 4 yrs of flying the airplane.

I am sure some bailed to fly scumbag airlines (Mesa) as Captains out of LGA. There are also quite a few career captains that are not going anywhere too.

Just because you have been an FO for 3-4 years, doesn't easily make one a Captain! Its a big deal at PDT, which it should be anywhere! I wanna know that my family is safe when they fly on a PDT flight. If you lack good judgement, common sense, and have a lazy piss poor attitude....... Ya just ain't gonna make it.... Some might not think it, but its a big jump from FO to Captain. And not every pilot is Captain material.

Seconded!!!

You can train your way out of almost any deficiency, except a crappy attitude. A few senior FO's have that chip on thier shoulder... And the terminally fatal attitude problems that go along with it.

Waiting 4+ years for your shot at the left seat does not excuse laziness or unprofessionalism.
 
So far from the Aug upgrade class of 8. Two failed out the first week of ground school for sure. Sounds like two more have withdrawn from training now, leaving 4 hopeful upgrades.

I suspect whoever told you two more withdrew might have their facts mixed up. The guys down there know nothing of the sort.
 
The last that I knew, there has been 4 pilots that left training. 2 upgrades and 2 new hires.

For some reason PDT is sending me CQ material, apparently they forgot that I quit a month ago. Good to see the communication inside the HQ is running smoothly. Oh well, can never have too many aircraft manuals hanging around I suppose.
 
Yea we had a Captain quit a few years ago, and sced. called his house wondering if he was gonna make his 5am report! The dude had quit working like 2 weeks before!

You can burn them for heat over in Africa come winter time.

I did CQ in August and for some reason I received 2 training packets the same day. ?????????????????

Its funny you mention that, because a few nights ago i was struggling to get the BBQ coals going and wished I had some PDT material to get it started. They are actually just starting spring where im at right now, havent seen a cloud in over a week, cool mornings, warm days, chilly nights. Its great. And ive only driven into oncoming traffic once since i got here, left side of the road/right side of the car driving isnt that bad after a day or two.
 
Just curious: What kind of DOH do the newest upgrades have?
