More PDT upgrades

Yea we had a Captain quit a few years ago, and sced. called his house wondering if he was gonna make his 5am report! The dude had quit working like 2 weeks before!
Here's your sign!

They called me a 3 others to go fly while we were in training at MidAtlantic.

Booker, last upgrade went way senior to where you were. Next one might get a little closer. You'd still be a ways away.

So is the guy who interviewed with us and was turned down. As for me, it seems that I'm still "a ways away" either way (thanks OPEC!).

They tried to give me a captain's trip once.... had to let 'em know I was gonna be a stripe short for a few more years.

Just saw on the website the other day that the october upgrade class will have 6 people in it. Numbers for the FO class in october is TBA.

That's happened many times. I DH'd to CHO, overnighted, then signed in for a captain's trip. Didn't know until I met the other FO in the crew room with the release and no captain listed on it. Crazy. I guess dispatch figured something was up, but sent it anyway.

Best part was scheduling tried to deadhead me back to CLT on the flight they assigned me to be the captain on, which of course cancelled since there was no captain to be had.

To answer the question, I think it's somewhere around late 00 or early 01. I have a buddy there with a summer '01 hire date and he's probably 6 or 7 in his base.

Just because it not on the website doesn't mean they won't run more upgrades. With the holidays approaching, your probably right...... However with this company you never know and timely info is not one of Piedmonts biggest attributes!

However Cheese I just purchased a industrial size jar of Jelly, so I will be ready for the Holidays!!! You'll notice me, I will be the Captain walking around PHL and LGA with this lost look!!! :-D

I think he was referring to the 'ask Piedmont' section, where they stated that they do not expect to be running any more upgrades this year after the October class. They say they're beginning to look at their needs for 2007 soon. I guess this culture survey is showing them that letting us in on the plans, even if not what we want, is better than witholding information, or the standard "upgrades in two months!" answer.

Let me guess the other guy as well since I am on a role! Is it Sam "you must see thing my way or you are wrong" D.? I guess I need to examine my ExpressJet cockpit crew more closely from now on. How are you liking it over there?
