the press just needs a story since anna nicole has gone to the back burner.[/quote]

They cremated her? I thought they were holding her body till the maternity tests were conclusive?

Oh...never mind

Once we had a couple of loudmouth passengers complaining that there was no need to de-ice, as they could see from their window that the wings were clear (ATL, night, freezing rain). They didn't buy our explanations. After a long wait in line we finished and taxied out, passing a line of trees that were illuminated by ramp lights. They looked like crystal chandeliers, and all the pax oohed and ahhed and shut up.

Because I'm in a hotel room in Orlando and have nothing better to do.

Sooooooo ... the girls in back are ugly? Or did you just have to catch up on day two of the Bernankefest?

There was some eye candy at the pool yesterday but it's kinda cold (Florida cold that is) down here today.

This is not really a safety issue unless you start getting lavs overflowing as was alleged in the AA incident in AUS.

I think it is indeed a safety issue when you have people on an expected three hour flight and they are on the taxiway 9 hours later.
Medications, nutritional needs and passenger anxities can not be poo-pooed away anymore.

Just wait for it.
If we keep dropping the ball like this people will legislate a return to the gate at three hours. And then there will be all the consequences involved in that.

These crazy delays have got to stop.
There HAS to be provisions at all commercial airports to stuff some planes on a ramp, get stairs to them and take them to the terminal.
It will take the airports, the FAA/local ATC and the airlines to make this happen effectively.
If its a problem with being iced up... then the buses need chains take some aircraft deicing trucks and spray hot type II in front of them and blaze a trail to the airplane!
