I have heard mixed reviews on this board about Sky Limo as an employer... Regardless, this might work for ex-Avantair pilots living in South Florida if they are still seeking a job. See article below:

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL--(Marketwired - Nov 6, 2013) - Sky One Holdings, LLC d/b/a Sky Limo Air Charter (a Noble Financial Capital Markets Merchant Banking Portfolio Company), announced today that the first of the scheduled five Piaggio Avanti P-180 aircraft to be added to its owned and managed fleet left Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport on its first charter flight this morning. This remarkable turboprop combines the elegance of Italian styling, the quietness and comfort of a spacious cabin, and exceptional performance which is comparable to the most popular light-jets in the industry. Sky Limo Air Charter expects to have all five Piaggio's -- the oldest of which is less than five years old -- available for charter before the end of the year. Sky Limo Air Charter is the first air charter operator in the United States to return a former Avantair aircraft to commercial service.

The Piaggio Avanti aircraft has gained a large and loyal following over the last several years mainly due to its luxurious stand-up cabin, shorter take-off / landing distances and its outstanding fuel efficiency; all without compromising airspeed. Other distinguishing characteristic of the Avanti is its forward wing providing additional lift, the horizontal stabilizer that offers a smoother flight and its state-of-art avionics.

"Once we have successfully integrated the first five into our fleet," said Steve Markhoff, Sky Limo Air Charter President and General Counsel. "We have plans to add several more in Q1-2014 and beyond as demand dictates. In aviation it's rare to find a combination of performance, comfort and fuel efficiency while having the lowest carbon emissions in the class. Considering we can pass on to our customers some of the cost advantages, these aircraft give us a distinct advantage in the charter business," he said.

Sky Limo Air Charter also announced today that David Shepherd has joined the company as Vice President Technical Operations. Dave brings years of maintenance management experience having served in maintenance leadership roles at Southwest Airlines, Alaska Airlines and most recently at Allegiant Air. David holds an MBA in Business Management from the University of Texas and both Airframe and Powerplant and private pilot licenses.

Sky Limo Air Charter is both ARGUS Platinum and IS-BAO rated full service on-demand air carrier, with its headquarters located at the Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport. The company currently operates an owned and managed fleet of aircraft specializing in luxury, cost-effective private air travel.

Sky Limo Air Charter will be a sponsor of Noble Financial Capital Markets' Tenth Annual Equity Conference to be held January 19-22, 2014 at Club Med, Sandpiper Bay, Florida. The company will offer the transportation portion of an auctioned vacation destiny, with the proceeds going to charity.

Short field performance is not a characteristic of the P180. 106-112Kt rotation on takeoff, 120Kt Vref and no anti-skid brakes just don't allow it. Any runway shorter than 4000 ft required "DO permission, PIC only" takeoff and landing during my five years flying it.

That said, the Avanti is a fine ride both from the pointy end and the owner's seat.
