I was called last week for the April class. I am going to do the standing bypass thing. See what happens. Also, if I do return perhaps that will ease the reserve sitting. I was first half of March 2001 class if anyone cares.

Glad to see you guys back to work. I was curious. Has the service at Midwest changed since the cutbacks? The hot meals and so on?

No he didn't say what we would be called back into, from what I hear it's most likely the 717. He did tell me they have 7 more 717's arriving. I'm doing the standing bypass as well, I've got a good 91 gig that I'm not ready to give up.

Yes, Midwest has changed over to the "Buy A Meal" on-board food service. Full meal is $10 and "Meal (breakfast/lunch/dinner) In A Box" for $5. Chocolate cookies still offered in-flight (if that excites you).

Starting in May in MKE and July in MCI, Skyway will be taking over the catering from LSG. Additionally and starting this month, Skyway will be gradually taking over MKE ramp/ground services for Midwest too. Full change-over is slated to be completed by May.

Peace

SF

Got the call on Thurs for early May class(bypassed April). I was in the first group of the March 5, 2001 class. Chief Pilot told me that there were to be 3 717 FO's in the early May class and then 6 MD 80 FO's for a class around the 18th of May. Anyone know when the next financials come out...I'm sure they're still pretty bad.

Does anyone know how to look up the current monthly schedules? I checked the MEC website but couldn't see the lines posted there. Am I blind or did they change where they post them? Anyone know how many reserve pilots they have on the 717 and the 80? Also, how many short and long call reserve?

Midwest recallies:

Any of you guys coming back in April need a crashpad? We have 2 spots available. Right now there's 3 Midex pilots and 1 USA 3000 pilot. The U3000 pilot will be leaving at the end of April. If we can get 5 people in here the rent will be about $175 for everything. Oak Shores apartments, 10 min from airport, nice area, 2 bedroom, 2 bath, washer/dryer, cable, fully furnished. Send p.m. if interested.

Flydaplane: Not sure about the 717, but the MD-80 has about 12 reserve lines. Last month there wasn't any 12-hr res lines. April has 1. I was recalled in Oct 04 and have seen as many as 3 12-hr res lines in a bid period. They go pretty senior.

Hey!

Another March 01 class person checking in!

Congrats to all.

I recently resigned due to another job offer.

Take care

Good Luck to all of you!!
