You hope and pray that we will have to take concessions. We hear from our management and our union leaders that the company does not want to do that and has no intentions to do so. So you lose there. And to answer your other questions, no, I did not pick up open time, but I didn't blame those that did. This is an airline, not a charity. You take home what you are willing to work for. A lot of these people worked for years with no pay increases and horrible work rules. I don't know when you came on board but I am sure you didn't share in the pain like the rest of us "Pre Union" pilots did. You came in and bitched and bitched about what you didn't have. So you got furloughed. Big freaking deal. It's quiet common in this line of work. Move on and enjoy where you are. I for one am glad I don't have to fly with your whining complaining ungreatfull ass.

You are absolutely hilarious! Not only can you not spell, you elevate yourself by putting everyone else down. God forbid someone tell the truth about your airline, but you have to belittle everyone on here for posting their opinion. :rolleyes: Well, you don't know me, and thank God, I don't know you. I wish you all the best at ME, and when TH comes back to you next year for more money, I'll be here to say "I told you so." On second thought, I hope they don't because the real pilots at ME are a good group of people. You must have fallen through the cracks. Must be comforting to know that your management keeps their word to you.

Enjoy the ride. And by the way, I felt the pain as well. If it wasn't for the SYX pilots stepping up and bringing ALPA onto the property first, you guys would probably still be working without a union. By the way that you defend management, I bet you were one of those that voted NOT to bring in ALPA. Good luck to you.
 
1800, don't waste your time on chuck. I have a very good idea who he is and he isn't worth the O2 he consumes. There isn't a person in the world who is more worthy of a blanket party. We don't have many pricks at this airline but the ones we do have need a coming to jesus.

1800 rvr never flew at Medex, he was furloghed while in ground school.

"Stay at AE. The Cookie Palace has no future. Midwest is only hiring because they have to. Boeing wouldn't let them defer the 717. Ask Embraer if the 140s have been shored up for SYX? Yeah, I was at SYX when those were ordered. Then I moved up to MidEx. "You'll all be CA in two years. We want to double our pilot staff." Uh-huh. When I was there, I heard all the promises, all of the rhetoric. Staying at AE will at least give you more employment security that MidEx. Yeah, no commute is nice, but being at the bottom of their senority list is even worse than that. Trust me! I've been there. The only way I would go there is if I didn't have a job at all.

Note: This post does contain some emotional overtones. I personaly DESPISE MidEx management. They are the biggest pieces of cow dung out there. When you find out that you are losing your job from the press watching the evening news BEFORE you get a call from Flight ops is BS. When you get a speech from TH "that we all have to feel the pain" with furloughs, etc., then goes and puts up $70,000 custom-made copper gutters on his house is BS. Don't tell me about pain. When FOs were putting in requests for open time trips the SAME DAY as I returning my ID because I WAS GETTING FURLOUGHED showed great support for their furloughed bretheren. Please!"

Obviously, you don't know me either because you have no idea what in the heck you are talking about. I flew at MidEx (your emphasis) , and if you think about it, the last class that was in groundschool that got furloughed that never made it to the line was a MD80 class. Seeing that you have one post, and it's inaccurate, I would say that your track record is not good.

By the way, it is spelled "furloughed." :rolleyes:
 
Bingo, you are wrong. 1800 flew long enough at Midwest to get furloughed twice. Infact, many were furloughed twice in less than 15 months. Nice planning.

I disagree, while doing my 717 initial training in Atlanta we continuously meet with Airtran guys in the break room upstairs, I have to admit they are very good group of guys, fun and courteous, and also noticed that their sim instructors are extremely nice and laid back. Sorry to say that but the Delta guys totally ignored us at the same facility.

I also have quite a few friends at Airtran, and know that they are a good group of guys, when it comes to whining, pilots have to whine its part of our job, its like picking up the usa today from the hotel in the morning.
