So what about JL's three new board members?

they are board members at MEH with $40,000 paid to them from AirTran. they will be up for reelection when their term runs out. their duty is to MEH and not JL.

Put Down The Testers Glue........

I heard AA was interested because they want the 717's and need MKE as a reliever for ORD since it's at capacity. TC

P.S.--That's a joke, you know...

.................and quit scratchin' your testies!!!:):):)

Looks like a group led by NWA and Texas Pacific Group (private equity) has submitted a $16 per share offer and AirTran has stated they would not raise their original offer of $15. The AirTran deal made more strategic sense - we'll see what happens.

So, looks like AirTran might need to find new homes for the incoming 737-700s other than MKE......... That should be interesting.

Now that JL is not going to buy us...I hope that TPG is planning on doing something with Midwest. This can't be any worse then our current position...

Well here is a link to the Atlante Business Journal and a quote...

http://www.bizjournals.com/atlanta/stories/2007/08/13/daily2.html?b=1186977600^1505448

"The group expects to execute a merger agreement no later than Aug. 15, according to a letter released by Midwest."

I guess that time will tell...
