I can guess the following:
-Da Tranny
-NWA
-Some financial network that would split MEDEX up
-Cathay Pacific

NWA would be bidding mostly to keep AAI from coming into their markets even more. Would NWA keep MEDEX entirely or sell off parts of the old company? With AAI holding a majority of the stock, how would that go over with a successful NWA bid?

PS: I may be wrong on Cathay Pacific.

I heard AA was interested because they want the 717's and need MKE as a reliever for ORD since it's at capacity. TC

P.S.--That's a joke, you know...

TC: First, it's not nice to joke about a MKE base when you know I read these boards. Second, OMFG, is that you in the picture montage on the APA home page?

and the plot thickens....

Wow, that's wierd, what would the acquisition committee be doing in SFO? Who based in SFO would have any interest in us? Wait a minute, did someone start service out here today? That's right, and he's out here for the inaugural flights today isn't he? Ahhhhhhh...it's all becoming clearer now.

All of the above taken from the voice recorder of MEP924 SFO-MKE last night. Couple all the happenings out there with a SELCAL from AirInc. over Utah telling us that the passenger in 1A would be met by Tim himself and escorted off the plane immediately upon arrival at the gate and hurried off to a meeting room in the Best Care Club for an emergency conference call at 10:00 pm!

Pay attention folks....here it comes!

Can't wait for the good news!

I am so excited for the good news...no merging keep Midwest the way it is!! Finally an airline with a great product that people are willing to fight for!

I am swimming in the pool right now!

i doubt a virgin america acqusition is in the works, they would be meeting the full board and not tim, however stranger things have happened.

my guess: perhaps the MD80 fleet replacement will be calling our pilots retards and virgin is leasing some of their unused ones.

all i know is AAI's stock is well up the last couple of days leading into their 8/10 deadline. perhaps the market thinks this deal isn't going to happen (as the stock had been going down and down while AAI was the sole interested acquirer).
