Oh... BTW.. Most of US want a fair integration!

Wow, really?!? The RAH pilots want to be integrated into a mainline seniority list? Say it aint so!

See this is why it is hard to believe those RAH pilots who say "we don't want any part of this." IF that were true, the RAH pilots would want no part of a seniority integration because all it will do is lower the bar once again for all of us no matter who you work for.

So Trogdor if you're a furloughed E190 driver you raised the bar on the industry by working for US for 41 an hour, right? And all you F9 drivers screaming about wet-nosed kids are conveniently ignoring how you all flew E120s and SF-340s for 13K per year and/or PFT'd in the nineties... but it was ok then, right?

First year pay sucks, and has always sucked. In other news, water is wet.

And my 1900 sure destroyed alot of mainline hopes in McCook, Nebraska.

Not exactly.
I came here (F9) from pt135 cargo, flying Sa227, BE1900, and BE99s single pilot in bad wx and into some of the most god-awful spots on the planet. The good news was year 1 I made about 20k and by year 7, I made about 75k, which is still more than I'm making now. No complaints, just pointing out where you're mistaken. That about covers the generalizations.

The point of the situation is this:
I don't know.
YOU don't know.
Neither one of us has much control over the situation right now.
There's no point in arguing how this is going to play out.
Maybe we should save our energy for when we do have an option and act accordingly.
I think that was the point of the original post.

For the record, I've never PFT'd, and I've never flown an airplane with some other company's logo on the tail. So no one could ever accuse me of taking someone's mainline job away from them.

As far as the pay issue is concerned, here is a little comparison for you on the the first year at the Legacy Carriers:

CO: $31
UA: $33
AA: $35
US: $41
DL: $52

First year pay at any place sucks and we all know it, so nice try taking a stab at me for working for the 2nd highest starting wage at the Legacies.

PFT'd in the Nineties? PH*CK you, never happened.....this is gonna be fun. Pimply-faced wannabe's, blonde-highlighted spikey hair,at least ONE pair of baggy pant in the closet, that use the word "DUDE" too much. This industry is at a new low......

Just for giggles:
MEH Seniority breakdown
Top DOH 12/1978
25% 11/1992
50% 01/1998
75% 02/2001
Bottom 09/2007

Junior man now: 01/1995
Junior man when latest announced furloughs complete: 01/1991

Not that this will have any bearing but it would be interesting to see how Frontier and Republic compare.

DOH. Seniority list and CBA's fenced by paint. Furloughs fenced by paint.

Fences stay up until a new CBA is ratified AND all furloughs are back.

I have a lot of buds at MEH. I was wondering why the MEH UNION didnt take action towards the furloughs and job losses. WHy not strike, SOS or raise Hell?

CYA

Because when the senior guys finally realized that it could affect them it was too late.

I hate to see what is happening to most of them but it ended up the best thing for me because it finally forced me out of the airline flying and I've found a flying job that trumps the airline gig in all measures.

What is going to be a shame is BB will have his accountants go over the Midwest operation and they will cut some great people. The training department from my own experience and others who have left for places like UPS, Delta, CAL, NWA, Southwest, jetBlue and American is hands down one of the best if not the best in the industry. It will be a shame and a loss for the profession that these tremendously talented people will end up on the street. Some already have. With what is happening in Congress and the FAA on regional training issues it would be a huge benefit to have these people giving full reign of Republic's training department. Not any disrespect to Republic's training department but I've been through theirs, another Regional's, a Major's and Midwest's and there is no comparison.

One Seniority List

To all of the level headed Republic Pilots out there, I just wanted to make sure that you knew that 'authors' like Animal Tale and a couple others DO NOT speak for the F9 pilot group as a whole. I was with you the whole way on the seniority list integration issue, and as of yesterday it appears that our union and mgmt are agreeing as well. Hooray, hooray, separate lists, woohoo = WHIPSAW. There was good reason that your pilot group fought for a single list. Integration will not be easy and not everybody will be happy with the outcome. Anybody on either side yelling 'total staple' either way is an idiot. Just know that some of us out here are ready to band together and hammer out a deal that isnt the lowball wages everybody is whining about ruining the industry, nor impossible or unfair in this industry. (Why did I make a nice post here, this place is for flamers, oh well)

ahhh, the voice of reason..... so there is still hope of fiding reasonable people here. Perhaps you can be on the IC in all of this. You sir, i owe a beer.

I agree, the way you know you did good integration is if no one is happy. We all are losing, but the focus now needs to be on building unity between the three groups. I don't like the thought of where I'll end up in this whole mess, but divided we will all lose, united we can possibly get a new and healthy contract. I am curious to know if anyone has any thoughts from the meetings this week. I knowit was all through a mediator, but any ideas.

As for the pilots striking at Midwest, that is probably what BB was hoping for. We strike, we are all done and he immediately can do whatever he wants. Remember YX's contract is also amendable. I know it sounds funny, but here's hoping nobody's happy with integration, but the pilots are happy with a new contract eventually. Now everyone can tell me how stupid I am.
