oh, one more thing, about Compass? whats the deal, do they have anything other than a few senior leadership core? How is this company going to spool up? where are their offices? where is their training dept? where are their pilots.....are they NWA pilots.....it seems to me that they do not want to work there for those rates....which by the way, is better then at XJ which i am making now.......how is that going to be more profitable for NWA?
Compass will be hiring soon. NWA pilots aren't allowed to work for Compass unless they're in a furlough status...and it looks like we won't have any furloughed pilots by the Summer.
The rates were set by the NWA MEC as part of the deal we worked out to provide for our furloughed pilots. The rates at MSA are set by your negotiations.
If Compass is profitable it will be because they won't have a MAIR, Inc skimming $$. NWA will pay them a service rate (a flat block hour rate that includes performance bonuses and penalties) and Compass will have to figure out how to make a profit. If the employee's wages are higher there, they might have to (gasp!) pay their management dorks less money!
