Why would NWA even care? XJ made them money and still has the potential. I believe this is all just being done to kill time. Once push comes to shove, mgt will begin to bargain. Until then we are stuck with Spandex and his Friday afternoon pick-me-ups. I think we are headed for 10% .... not too bad considering we could get credit for multiclass bids (2-3%) and possibly pbs (2%) which leaves on 5% out of pocket. Put conditions on the 5 out of pocket and move on with life.

Yeah, good luck with that. Spanky is so willing to give credit for things. That is the exact mentality XJALPA and Mgmt. want you to have. Really, that glass is half full. Things will all turn around.....someday. This place'll be da bomb!

Get out! (No, really - Get out!)

How many 113c filings will you need to get ur head out of your a$$.

Yeah, how many times do I need to be lied to before I start believing it? With logic like that, I'm glad you're not flying people anymore .

LIke I said, my following of this is purely selfish. I enjoy seeing the old farts take it in the shorts. Karma.

So you enjoy seeing others suffer, and you're talking karma? You might want to do a little more research on karma.

Yuck - Realignment 06-05 is out. Lotsa downgrades. I like how the training dates are " . . . or later"

I imagine XJ to be like the Grinch; put out the death warrants and listen from their far away mountain.... DAMN, there still singing, what do we have to do to stop them?? (what can I say, there is no shortage of time in my life) cya

well, looks like i m off to the Saab, does anyone know about the start date, the way i figure it, i will have 8 days off this crappy month of training is on a monday-fri deal. can they do that? And what the F#$%? what if i have inviolate days at the end of the month for something i had planned.....this blows, maybe another voluntary will come to save the day...........lets all blow this joint.......

One more BIG reason for me to get the hizzell outa here.

What are they gonna do with the people who need Avro training? Back to Germany? Hey, Oktoberfest is coming up . . . Thanks Spanky!

CityJet of Ireland is looking for Avro pilots for the 17 A/C they buying from NW if anybody is interested. More info over on PPrune.com.

Top 'o the morning to ya!

That's where our Avro sim went, right? Too bad we can't go there for training! I think Reggie said we can't use that sim anymore for type rides. Something about the certification level. . . Maybe they'll have to send us to Montreal . . . Comment ca va, Fifi?

I heard Brussels is where the avro training will happen. We need Caleb back. Reggie is in way over his head. To bad capt Ed is to busy over in Dubayi playing with MJ to help save the day.

You may see the direction XJ is headed in about 2 weeks. I believe the company may remain in its current state and opt for any additional savings it can get. Has ALPA made a proposal and what is it?

IT DOES NOT HURT THE SLT ONE BIT TO DRAG THIS THING OUT. THEY ARE PERFECTLY HAPPY TO KEEP BEATING THE PILOTS, FLIGHT ATTENDANTS , ETC INTO SUBMISSION.

Don't forget, Pilots and Flight Attendants are not the only ones getting beat into submission.

well, i think the pilots, FA's and mechanics are all in it together....which is...united is strong......divided is weak...remember that. remember when its miserable, it is always best to have company......who wants to suffer alone.....ha

I think your best bet is to apply direct at Cityjet's web site. Some agency's are recruiting also but direct hire would be your best bet.Based in Ireland and France.

I have been in contact with one of the recruiters. They are planning on doing interviews in MSP on or around 21 July. One year contract, they pay F.O.s approx. 3700 Euros/Month Salary, 1000 Euros/month per diem, paid accommodations in base and overnights, 8 days min off, 80 hours/month, anything over 80 paid at 1/80th of 3700, eligible for national health plan in Ireland. All income subject to Irish Taxes. They are hoping to start a class around 13 Aug.
This is all off the top of my head. If you want more info PM me and I will find the document I was sent with the info.

When you're all in Dublin, visit the Subway restaurant on Grafton and say hi to the pretty blond girl behind the counter.

Thought you were gonna save the industry by holding up that bar?

Did you mean that as a statement? See, for a minute, I thought you were asking a question. See that funny squiggle with the dot at the end of your quote? <---- Like that one. That denotes a question.

Now I think you mean it more like, " thought you were gonna save the industry by holding up the bar."

By not accepting lower wages, and seeking employment elsewhere, I am rejecting Mesaba's position. This would be the "Take this job and shove it" principle. But what do you know about principles, right?

Sweet, another grammer cop. Bet'cha you is married to one of them teachers. Huh?
Perhaps you failed to recognize that, oftentimes, many of the postings on this particular website are in the form of "common-speak" Should you choose to, in the future, pontificate regarding my useage of punctuation (I believe you refer to it as "a funny squiggle") please limit your mindless drivel to subjects on which you may have something meaningful to add.

P.s. Little Squiggle = "Quotation mark"

Watch out for the taxes in Ireland - they're higher than you think. You will have a good time, but Dublin is EXPENSIVE!!!!

Okay, here's some meaningful mindless drivel:

Do you think that finding another airline job (let's say SWA or Frontier) is lowering the bar? The reason I ask is you seemed to say in an earlier post that my leaving Mesaba would be lowering the bar.

Truce on the grammar.

The reason I ask is you seemed to say in an earlier post that my leaving Mesaba would be lowering the bar.

No, not at all. I was referencing your "chest pounding" regarding how you will not work for less than your liveable wage. Don't go on to SWA or Frontier. Stay at XJ and be the white knight. You are the future. C'mon Mav, you da man. Don't sell out and let that bar lower. Not one inch. What was it ..... Burn it down? Yeah, that's it.
