Does anyone know the reason behind them asking for this?

They must be over staffed in the SAAB.
The posting was limited to SAAB personnel. This does happen occasionally at Mesaba, it is something I have hoped for on most occasions.

Generally not an awful thing. Especially with the 14 or so SAAB Capts going to the 200.

So are you on line yet, flybet?
I am in the waiting line for my next step.

No man, I'm still at home. Been home for about 10 days now. I'm not complaining LOL. I've been waiting for a call to start IOE.
 
If my wife worked I wouldn't mind a month off LOL
 
I would kill for a month off, work my other job, be home every night for a month, gawd that'd be phenomenal.

Can someone convince the guys at ASA scheduling to do that?
 
Sounds like they over staffed like Express I/Pinnacle back in 2001/2. There were over 50 of us both captains and first officers that only flew 110hrs or less for a whole year. Flew about 10 hours a month.
