Are you kidding? If that was the case, prostans needs a couple of hundred other calls for all the "professionals" and their radio ettiquet.
I'll take Stu any day of the week, at least he's joking about it, the others don't even know what they're doing/saying.

This case is much different. This is a continuing problem and it seems to be getting worse. If a pilot is brand new to the world of flying (250-500 hrs.) they say things on the radio that sound retarded all the time. They will learn with experience. Stu knows better.

I know lots of people are annoyed, but have never once heard anyone complain about him not being safe.

How about getting rid of the dispatcher some call "GERBIL" instead?

The Mesaba pilots nominate you to confront him.
Don't work there and don't have a problem with his "behavior"....sorry to disappoint.

Just enjoying the FI.com Internet Tough Guys who talk a ton of sh!t about somebody but won't say anything to them directly.

You should all wear your epaulets backwards, in protest! That will teach him!

Safety is not the issue, it's professionalism. He is representing an entire group of pilots in a negative manner. When pilots of other carriers ask me if that was just a new "9" pilot on the radio acting like an idiot I have to tell them "no," it's actually a senior Captain with the company. The only response is a roll of the eyes and disbelief. It's truly Sad. I can't say it enough. I apologize to anyone who has to experience it. We're doing are best to resolve the issue.

Some of you have to grow some balls and stop being such a bunch of oversensitive puss***s! So the guy is wacky. I rather fly with someone like that then some of you uptight ******************************s.

How long does it take for some of you to properly insert the corn cob up your a$$ before your show time?

For God's sake, lighten up. If this guy is your only problem you're all doing okay but we know that's not the case. This guy doesn't warrant six pages of comments. He's a clown. So what? Deal with it.

Does anyone know of another web site where surgeons, lawyers, or any other "professionals" bash each other on a public forum?

Best question of the year. Honestly!

Good point...why people would automatically associate "Pilot" with "Professional" is beyond me. Due to advancements in cockpit automation, any assclown can do this job, and based on the flightcrews walking through terminals, it's apparent they are!

Unfortunately, very true.

You can't equate surgeons/doctors and lawyers in the same group as pilots. Those professions are entirely a different animal. It takes years of schooling after highschool, 4 yr college degree, 4 year med school MD degree, 1-7 yr residency, perhaps a 2-3 yr fellowship before you're finally a surgeon.

The honest truth is that in todays world, a high school graduate can be a pilot, if you have even the slightest common sense, and money. There have been PLENTY of pilots hired at regional airlines with NO college degrees, at the young age of 18. Or 19. 20. You get the point. Some of them don't belong in a car, let alone an airplane.

Sorry, but don't bother equating pilots as professionals in the sense of doctors or lawyers. Only the most studious, smartest, well prepared, and dedicated will ever become doctors.
