This morning, MAIR Holdings filed a report with the Securities and Exchange Commission indicating that Northwest Airlines intends to remove 10 Saab B+ aircraft from the Mesaba flight schedule effective January 4th, 2006. In addition, the filing indicated that Mesaba is considering its own reorganization under Chapter 11 of the US Bankruptcy code. They also stated that NWA will "likely be unable to meet the delivery schedule" for the remaining 13 CRJs. These fleet reductions are in addition to the 9 AVRO's that will be removed from the flight schedule effective by the end of this month.

Did you hear two planes hit the World Trade Center? I wonder if that will affect our industry at all.

At least we serve lunch on day one.

That's the most important thing, isn't it? :cartman:

Consider the lillies of the GD field or look at Delmar here as your paradigm of hope.

"Mesaba starts an inverted flat spin..."

Yeah, yeah... But we recovered by 500AGL. What do you expect on a highspeed?

Mesaba may suck, but at least the company is gonna allowing us lots of time off. That ought to make up for my vacation that they cancelled this year... Hey. Wait a minute...

The Saab may be noisy, but boy is it slow!

LOL! MM another great reply. In all seriousness, I hope that my XJ bros and sisters can recover from this 'flat spin.' Would love to get some kind of combined XJ/9E 'awareness' meeting (with spirits included) sometime in DTW. Or all bases for that matter. Good luck to all of us.

Rook,

The "Awareness" meeting (with refreshments) sounds like something we could all use right about now. Count me in.

I'm in. Rook, throw out some dates and times. I can always use an excuse to... um, talk aviation.

I hate to say it because I have nothing but love for XJ (even you, B.S.), but I am soooooo glad I stayed put when I was offered at job there. I do feel like an outcast working for an airline that isn't bankrupt, but I suppose commuting is worth it.

Some locations...for DTW locals.

BW3, Westland/Ann Arbor/YIP

Any bars in Ann Arbor :) Connor O' Neils, Full Moon... Tend to stay away from Taylor and theTaylortuckians.

Dates and times...any weekend in November would work for me. I'd call in sick if I had to.

For the commuters, I could fit about 6 in my clown car. Anybody else have some ideas throw 'em out there.

Northwest Airlines asks that labor contracts be rejected

The storm is approaching... and it will eventually trickle down to Mesaba. Steenland is going for the TKO in the ultimate union bust.

The storm's coming.... an understatement.
CVG closing after Nov, Crj's arrival unknown, Saab's and Avro's leaving. Looks like a fun ride for the next 6-8 months.

So everyone that bitched that we signed for this agreement for too long, and didn't get enough $ ,etc. I guess it didn't matter what we signed for.
Everyone who appauded that this contract brought us up to our peers in $, positioned us for huge growth, oh yeah lets not forget about "iron clad scope", I guess it doesn't matter now either.

Bottom line, management plays from a different playbook, and they know it. Like those 2 old coots in "Trading Places", they are playing with our lives for a $1 bet.
Nice

Don't tell my mom I'm a pilot. She thinks I'm a piano player in a whorehouse.
