Its funny you guys are talking about London, I'm headed there next month. gnx99 thanks for the figures for the trip, I was wondering what it was going to cost me. Was that in C or Y class?

W&BWiz if you're the kind that would look good in the KLM FA uniform you'd be welcome to go to London with me ;)

You're welcome. On MyMesaba there's a special .pdf document (fares) regarding travel to London, Amsterdam, or Paris on NWA. That was coach that I listed

I'm PCL and I think we have it on our site as well. I just haven't looked at it.

On further review, no we don't.

Go to Amsterdam...I went there when I was 18 and didn't come back to the States until I was 20. Of course when I returned I looked like I was 30...too much time at the Doors Cafe, I guess.

Ahh, I see. Paris, Amsterdam, and London all cost the same to get there ($67 Coach, $117 First).

Coming Back

London - USA: $132.41 Coach, $220.32 First
Paris - USA: $115.58 Coach, $165.58 First
Amsterdam - USA: $113.91 Coach, $163.91 First

Art, thanks for the invite, but Turbo would kill me with his disapproving eye.
Another thing to think about, once your over there, you can get pretty cheap airfare in and around Europe. A friend told me he bought a one way ticket from Ireland to AMS for forty bucks. So you should be able to move around cheaply.

LOL....actually if I won't be doing Intra Europe this trip, I'm headed to Farnborough and then will spend a couple of days in the city taking pictures of all the things I had pictures of before the exwife took them when she ran off. I also have a buddy that works at AA Cargo there that I plan to go drinking with.

Oh and hey, you gotta give a guy points for trying <LOL>.

Watch it there pal, I've got my eyes on you... and you too Wiz.
don't want to have to stick my boot up your a** :D

By the way, if you are looking to get to europe w/o the hassle of nonrev, perhaps you could borrow the Duke. You have good life insurance????

Turbo: didn't know she was your girl, and after seeing you're a Marine I'll give you a *WIDE* berth ;)

I don't honestly consider NRSA a hassle, I've been in this business for years and there is no other way to travel. I fly First/Business class normally when I travel internationally and only care domesticly depending on the length.

I'm at PCL and I really think that those of you that didn't start telling all of us how we were going to loose all our flying because you guys got CRJ's are being screwed. Those that wished harm on their fellow airlinkers are getting the effects of Karma.

I truly hope to see all of us come out of this.

Well, she wasn't "my" girl untill the bouncer at the bar married us last week. Just don't tell my wife.

And I still think XJ will be gettting some new aircraft shortly.

Furlough pass travel.

That sucks to hear about more furloughes. I was one of the last to go in February. They did give us 30 days of non-rev privleges, which I used to go to California.

One thing to remember when doing your planning, is that you no longer will have access to the phone listing system. You will have to deal with the pass ladies, who are very helpful, but it will take more time to get stuff set up.

Hopefully things will improve by the time the furloughes start, but after being on the street for nearly 4 months, I'm not that optomistic. When they come out with a reduction notice, they seem to stick to it. The last big one was the October reduction, but many of us weren't scheduled to be cut until the end of Feb. I figured that after 4 and half months, they would of revised something, but they stuck to it, eventhough they were trying to jr. man me just days before my furlough date.

Anyway, hang in there. I hope that we can all get back soon!

so all you know one another....? and how do you tell who are the girls in here....not that i am looking..i just found some of the posts weird til i thought.....mmmmthat must be a girl...

the last time i was furloughed i jumped to amsterdam and wow was it expensive even getting to the gate....you have no access to the gates unless you have a bourding pass, so they made me buy a bording pass. i think..if i remember right, it was like 60 euro....or 30....cannot remember

I know hawk, its still hard to believe they let girls fly huh?
As for the boarding pass, apparently in Europe you have to pay taxes whether your jumpseating or not. If jumpseating you can go talk to an old guy in DTW and pay the taxes ahead of time. Apparently the Euro conversion is better here than there.

Here is one for ya. Maybe its already been said. How is XJ going to impose the new contract they are so sure about winning in court from us on the 1st of August, so they say, and then expect to furlough on the 22nd of August and move the rest on Sept 1st. Unless there is a deal made, then there wont be a furlough because the union and pilot group has already voted to strike and will over an abrogated contract. So if we are all on strike whos gonna get furloughed and moved? Any answers to that. Do tell the theories.
