Any idea what's up with this? Are there new classes starting? Are the pilots waiting for ground, sim, reserve? Any information would be appreciated.

Just trying to get a sense for what's up with the CRJ200 program at Mesaba.

Great company, BTW :)

Crj200 operations are on the cusp of lots of activity. Airplanes start arriving in November for MSP only? Some may be based elsewhere, but MSP for now. -200 sim being installed at Mesaba training center right now. Rumors of -900 sim exist as well. New hires are being assigned to all airplanes although predominately the Saab right now. That may change shortly. Extremely low-timers will most likely get the Saab right out of the gate, but there's no tellin'.

I don't know of any great companies that rape their employees just like Mesaba did to theirs.

Word is 2 per month, starting this November. We bought a 200 sim, so I think it's really happening.

How does that saying go? Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it. Maybe you know what paul foley does.

I would be willing to venture:

Great Company,

Terrible corporate executives!

The people who do the day-to-day stuff are typically pretty competent and all-around-OK types.

Name one company that WON'T bend their employees over the barrel in the name of a dollar...

MAIR and Mr. Foley are gone and have nothing to do with XJ anymore. It's MAIR that threw XJ into bankruptcy whilst it sat on $150M + in XJ profits.

Yes, our 15 planes are going to Mesaba.

Retartd, Read your history books...those 15 crj's were delivered to mesaba, however once mesaba entered in BK they were temporally assigned to 9E.

YES, we are getting OUR (northwest's) airplanes back...If you would be so kind could you include a carfax with them... www.carfax.com

Oct 2 (Reuters) - Pinnacle Airlines Inc, a unit of Pinnacle Airlines Corp (PNCL.O: Quote, Profile, Research), said it agreed with Northwest Airlines to defer the transition of 15 CRJ-200 aircrafts from Pinnacle to one of Northwest's subsidiaries.
Northwest agreed to pay Pinnacle $1.5 million to compensate it for the costs associated with the delay, it said in a regulatory filing. Pinnacle flies regional jets for Northwest.
The transition, originally scheduled to begin in September, will now begin in November at a rate of about two aircrafts per month, the company said. (Reporting by Sreerupa Mitra in Bangalore)

Bangalore: Your source for all the news that's fresh in America!

(at a fraction of the labor costs!)

(So, only a matter of time until Mr. Mitra becomes your air traffic controller?)

I don't remember 15 extra CRJs sitting around at Mesaba. . . Where did they hide them after they delivered them?

I'm glad there is no red in my new paint (okay no red, unless you count Leonid Brezhnev).

I'll second that!!!

I very much enjoyed my 8 years there...actually miss it some.

BTW, all that BK stuff resulted in a pay raise for every pilot on the property at the time. (Concessions + BK Claim + Snapbacks = Raise)

True statement. Now the only problem with the concessionary deal is the two year seat lock for all the upgrades. It may prove painful for our new Saab captains who are presently sporting 7+ years of seniority.

Ummm, you have no idea what you are talking about. Those 15 airplanes were never delivered to XJ, nor are they part of the airplanes that were scheduled to be delivered to XJ. The other two (601 and 602XJ) are the only CRJ200's in NW colors ever originally planned for delivery to XJ. The other ones awarded to XJ prior to CH11 were never delivered to any NW affiliate.

I would suggest you take it easy with words like "retard".

Turbo, you are correct. Mesaba only received 2 crjs from northwest. Now, unfortunatly we are watching the shellgame switch back to PNCL.

Ridgeback, I would suggest that you watch your tone in regards to aircraft transfers from one carrier to the other. We at Mesaba have enjoyed the support of many of our fellow aviators in the industry because of who we are and how we carry ourselves. I can tell that you are new to the company, just by your statement! Please do not tarnish the good name that your fellow Mesaba pilots have built over the years! None of these airplanes are ours, they are all NWA's! The quicker you learn that the better off you will be.

PNCL... Keep fighting the good fight. I know what you are going through... it sucks!

Thanks, we'll be alright...

And thank you guys for sticking up to mgmt, Tom W., your neg commitee, and your pilots did a great job.

As others have stated, those 15 CRJs were ordered, painted and delivered to Pinnacle. They were never Mesaba's and they were never intended to be Mesaba's. Until now.
