realize comair's is a pre 9/11 contract and compare apples to apples. you are bitching about a 6% loss (OF a f!@#ing average). how many carriers in that average have pre 9/11 contracts?
if you use an average, half of ALL carriers are lowering the bar using your stupid logic.
how come mesa pilots get all the bitching and moaning. where is the outrage over ALPA whose successfull bargaining skills got the mesa contract (which for the billionth time improved on an already sh!tty contract)? Everyone blames mesa pilots and JO, but I think fault lies with the ALPA negotiating team.
You are quick to label the Mesa negotiators as ALPA. While the negotiation committee worked in the structure of ALPA, they were indeed Mesa pilots. Mesa pilots voted that TA in overwhelmingly , 80% was it? No sir, the mesa contract is the result of the Mesa pilots.
Before anyone goes on a tie raid about mesa's situation at the time, I will agree they were in a very difficult situation with freedom air, and CC Air. Good or bad it was their decision and no one else's.
Come 2008, eyes will be on the pilots of Mesa to end the tradition of scraping the bottom of the barrel.
