Excellent, good to know. Do you know if Trans States is CASS as well?Cheeta said:As of 06/09/06 MESA Jumpsets are open for CASS riders!!
SEVEN said:Great news. Now there is finally a chance there will be at least 1 qualified pilot in the cockpit. Maybe I can start letting my wife and kids fly on Mesa.

ImRickJames said:"Gobbles. Irony. Gobbles". WOW, how many times did you get beat up as a kid. By the way, idiot #2, I am not defending the airline, I'm defending the people I work with. Who do you work for?
Get a life, you almost have more posts than flight time.
Fly2Scuba said:Yea, I hope to see you on my jumpseat. You'll be welcome on, but expect a flight long lecture on why Mesa is a pathetic airline and your responsibility in making legitimate strides so it doesn't continue to underbid everyone partly because of its pathetic pilot contract. And by the way, I agree with your upside down elephant as I'm a former Republican. So I also have to wonder why you are defending one of the worst businesses that is anti-labor and cuts corners left and right like having pilots camp out in the airplane in the wee hours of the morning to save on hotel costs?
A classic example of a very wrong attitude. The erosion of jobs at the majors and the quality of their contracts is partly due to the much lower excepted pay and work rules for aircraft flying the same routes and in some cases the same size (CRJ-900). It's bad karma on your part to not be concerned about the great divide in major and "regional" work conditions If you should get hired by the majors, don't be surprised if your position is furloughed and handed off to a "regional" pilot who has the same attitude that you have now. You're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem. Tell me where I'm wrong?ImRickJames said:First of all, If you had me on your jumpseat, I guarantee you would show some respect, because I wouldn't take your sh*t. Second, I'm at Mesa because its a regional job and I plan on getting a new job. You seem to want to make your regional a career. I am not defending Mesa and I don't give a sh*t about your company or your contract. What I am defending is the pilot group because I work with some good people. Is J.O. brutal, Yes! I just don't go around blaming anyone else for my woes. I learned that as a kid, don't make excuses, its pathetic.
If your union wasn't able to secure a good contract and your dumbass management can't make a profit or secure contracts, Blame them!! Your climbing up the wrong tree. By the way, yes, until I go to bigger pastures, I have a guaranteed paycheck and don't have to worry about my job. Thats called business, if its too much for you to deal with, leave your job and go work as an insurance salesman.

metrodriver said:Rickjames,
thanks to the lousy contract that mesa accepted (I know for fear of the freedom air start / possible mesa shut down) the company has the lowest crew pay and lowest operating cost. The pay is rediculous. Now with some majors trying to slash cost they are putting up the managements of several regionals against each other in order to find the cheapest one that will play for them. So now all the regionals are trying to lower pay (called pay to play). The pay might seem fine if you're young and no family and house and no retirement to think about yet, however there are few majors jobs available and regionals are now a career choice, so the low and decreasing pay will be hurting you in a few years (don't count on getting that major job anytime soon, there are many more qualified candidates ahead of you).
So be proud of being at Mesa and lowering the standard of living of many

Fly2Scuba said:Right, coming from a guy who probably hasn't been at the airlines very long based on your profile. You think a lecture is bad, then ask around as to what has happened to scabs at various airlines. Then a lecture will seem fairly pale in comparison. I think it's quite immature to accept and be proud of working at a lousy employer without putting up a good fight for better conditions. At least acknowledge the situation.
