Strange...My Instructor told me I could get a CFI After my Instrument...But I couldn't use it until I recieved the commercial Certificate...I'll read up on it.
You have mis-understood your instructor. I honestly don't believe any instructor thinks that the way you say it.

Every instructor alive had to get his/her commercial certificate first.

He/She may have said something like: You can work on your CFI/CFII/ME/MEI during the "timebuilding" phase of getting the 250 hours required for the commercial, and when you get the commercial, you will have the skill and knowledge to take the CFI/II/ME/MEI checkrides right after you take the commercial checkride...but he didsn't say you could take those checkrides first, then the commercial later.
