You're very right. The article posted refers to "getting smoked." I agree, this is a particularly heinous form of torture. My platoon got smoked pretty bad in basic training one night. The walls literally had condensation on them after the Drill Instructor finished with us. I nearly sued because of the mental and physical harm it did to me.

I am very much in favor of leaning on these guys a little bit if it is going to save the lives of our soldiers. Now, give me some inane response about which soldiers did it save?

"OK, you saved 5%. Great. Now lets put that in context. The average american family makes less today than they did 8 years ago. At the same time, inflation has been at very high levels. Even at a modest 3% per year, cost of living has gone up 27.47%.

Cost of living up 27.47%, while average american families incomes have gone down.

But at least you saved 5%.

Why is this so hard for you guys to understand. Republicans do not support the rights of working class people. You know, like you and me. It is not just our industry that has been damaged by the FAILED trickle down policies. The problem is, it never trickles down.

Your right, there are allot more important things than just our industry. Like the middle class. The same middle class that has been left behind by people that have the same policies of mccain.

As far as being dependent on foriegn oil? The republicans are the party that wants to keep us addicted to oil in the first place.

And for the tool that said raising taxes in a recession would be so bad, it is the failed trickle down policies that led us into this recession.

As far as the democratic congress? Ever heard of a veto, or promise to veto. Bush has told them repeatedly not to put anything on his desk that does not fit his policies.

We have allot of really bad problems in our economy, energy policy, deficit, middle class and of course in our own airline industry. The bush/mccain policies have got us here. But you refuse to acknowledge the republicans failures, and want to give them the keys for another 4 years.

Neither the GOP or the Democrats are for the "working man" or middle class.......if you think one or the other is looking out for you, you've got blinders on. They're both run by the "elite" in this country.

As someone said earlier, it might be scary if McCain has a heart attack and Palin becomes President. At the same time, if B.O. had a heart attack 10 minutes after the Inauguration someone with experience could take over.
