With domestic yields sagging, many legacy carriers are moving to increase their international flights. While United certainly has the upper hand in IAD, Maxjet is moving right in.
Maxjet's fares are attractive, and the ammenities are good. United's strengths are it's size and frequent flyer programs. I wonder if this move will cause heartburn at UAL.
