Just wondering, what is the highest groundspeed you have ever gotten in an aircraft. What type/altitude/location?

(Subsonic, of course. No SR-71, Concorde or F104 pilots)

Well just last week we had a 624kt G/s out of STL going to EWR, we were 40 mins early. That was in a EMB145!! Alt was FL370, and we were probably near IND by that point! I think the winds were around 260@192 up there!

last winter, 625kts gs. If I remember correctly, we had 115+ on the tail at FL330!!

231 kts. (level flight) in V35B going from PDK to CLE was the most unusual I've ever seen.

Took 2.7...not bad! :D
