You are right lostplnetairman, I should really get my 17 year old a credit card so she can buy a $2 bottle of water on a flight....what was I thinking.

Did Spirit misrepresent their policy when you purchased the ticket? It appears that they do so, maybe a class action suit needs to be filed. Are you willing to pick up the ball and run with it. I'm sure that a large number of other passengers would join in.

You could get her a prepaid credit card, which could teach her responsibility. Teaching her credit card management might be a good thing before she goes off to college and goes nuts with all the new found plastic she will be getting.

Or, since you bought her the cheap ticket, you could have given her an empty bottle, and had her fill it up once she got through security.

Yes, putting "MILF" in an airline ad is unprofessional. It makes it sound like the guys who wrote American Pie are running the place.

25 year old SWA ad featuring hottie FAs = classy

MILF = freshman (akin to spiky haired, mp3 wearing, back pack toting...

I was flying with a flight attendant last week that comp'd a drink to our CEO...he is now trying to get her fired because she didn't charge him! The FA union is all up in arms about this..."Let them tell the world how bad we are!"

I'm sorry to say this to all you Spirit folks, but if I were you I'd be applying anywhere else, because no matter what your ticket prices are, people will be fleeing that kinda customer service, and you won't get the customers back....

Looks like it cheapass
Who do you work for greenbayfan? Tell me that and this argument will end.

You obviously dont know much about airline business. People love low fares. And they understand that this means low expectations. Havent you followed the success of SWA? They started "low fares, no frills", and they have been doing pretty good fot the past 25+ years. If you havent noticed, all the airlines are fighting for the "lowest fares, and the worst service". Thanks to SWA, the guys at Spirit, Airtran, Skybus, and all other LCC will be just fine.

I know I was making fun of greenbayfan's original post by quoting it from above.

PS where does he/she work?

A little late to the party so I missed the MILF ad, but the current placement of the pies is definantely not very becoming of a respectable legacy (and no, Im not claiming they are respectable or a legacy).

That is awesome!! Let's hope Bill O'Reilly doesn't get ahold of this one.
I'm watchin' O'Reilly now and he has the CEO of Spirit on there!! The funny thing is the CEO doesn't give a rats ass what O'Reilly thinks.

I really liked the CEO's "we offer low services to the islands" comment. He spoke the truth, Spirit's service IS low. :)
