The point of these devices (like the RLA) is that the wearer generally cannot remove them by him/herself.

The RLA was made law (in theory) so that one group of workers could not cripple the country's transportation system or economy. Since there is no shortage of competition these days, there is no reason to prevent a strike. If ever there was a time to push for the abolition of the RLA this is it - with the current short-lived administration and party majority.

Unfortunately the unions are in king size beds with Obama, especially when Capitan Prater comes around. Status quoe is good.
