Responsible for executing all assigned flight operations in compliance with FAR's and company procedures and policy. Primary duties include but are not limited to the knowledge of current and forecast weather; pre-flight briefing of crews on current weather, NOTAMS, and field conditions; distributing flight plans and flight releases;, re-routing flights as necessary; calculating of appropriate fuel loads; coordinating with the maintenance department in regards to maintenance and MEL's; flight following; updating flight crews to any unforeseen weather conditions; revising Jeppesens and all other department manuals; other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.   • [*]Bachelor’s Degree preferred
    [*]Valid FAA Aircraft Dispatch Certificate required
    [*]One (1) year Part 121 Domestic/Flag dispatch experience required. Two (2) years Part 121 Domestic/Flag Dispatch experience preferred
    [*]International experience required
    [*]ETOPS experience preferred
    [*]Excellent computer skills
    [*]Excellent communication, organizational, problem solving skills
    [*]Strong knowledge of applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, weather and technical dispatch skills
    [*]Must be flexible to work all shifts including weekends and holidays
    [*]Qualified candidates must pass a criminal history background check as well as a pre-employment drug test

Maybe the thought of living in MSP is a problem.. just saying...

It isn't bad really. It has a great QOL.

I got some inside info on SY if anyone wants to know. You want to learn some crazy stuff and pad your resume this is your chance.
 
Concur - I LOVED living in MSP way back when with a girlfriend; if it wasnt for those damned winters...
 
Agreed, cold wx sucks. Though my dx office has lost 2 peeps to MSP based airlines in the last year or so.
 
Two SY 737's landed in SGU Saturday to pick up National gaurd troops...
 
Mesa, Republic and Colgan all have openings posted right now, too.
