If America West in the early 90's had been in AAA's situation today, how do you imagine we would have been treated?

I would say overall the AWA pilots just don't want to be walked all over, thats all. No one is looking to get anything at someone elses expense, we just don't want to be the back to work and back to the left seat vehicle for someone else at our expense, thats all.

Not too much. You guys ("west") still can't manage to get a flight out/in on time (despite having hubs in the nicest weather in the country). Cancellations are a regularity. You still take boarding passes manually at the gate. You rank number one in mis-boards and lost bags. Your in-flight has layover issues/delays (ala 1970).

I think the reason the stock is up is because the share holders...myself included...hope that the 35,000 REAL US Airways employees can overcome the wild west employee mentality of the 7,500 AWA employees and run a successful airline.
