alternative fuels could revolutionize the world economy. i would imagine that when the powers that be figure out how to make more money than they do currently on fossil fuels the science will quickly overcome the disadvantages.

if the veggie oil works the cost of the turbine would pay for itself in very very little time, veggie oil costs something like 20 cents per gallon after its all said and done. 20 cents per gallon vs ~3 a gallon it does seem like a no brainer IF the veggie oil works, if not still seems like a good set up.

Not to mention trailing the smell of french fries or mexican food everywhere instead of jet exhaust.

Which raises the question... are there any toxic by products from burning oil like there are in fossil fuels?
