I have the Anchorage sit, for 4 days. Anything good to do?

Using ERA, do they still do the DC3 rides and can you still jump seat on them?

Polar Bar. A couple of primo stip joints...not that I've been there. ;) Have fun! TC

Not much to do this time of year, but certainly no shortage of places to eat...

Sullivan's Steak House (awesome filet mignon, killer bleu cheese stuffed olives (required to be soaked in Bombay Sapphire))
Simon & Seafort's (awesome prime rib (get it rare), king crab legs)
Glacier Brewhouse (all around great food & great beer)
Orzo (Next to Glacier Brewhouse, great Italian food)
F-Street Station (mainly a bar, crew hangout, typical bar food)
Wayne's BBQ (Real Texas BBQ, quite tasty!)
Gwennie's on Spenard (Good Breakfast)
Arctic Roadrunner (Good, greasy, fast food burger)

This should keep you busy for 4 days... Enjoy!

Nope, the DC-3 fell to the new rules after 9/11...

And don't forget the museum at the airport. And think about how rough it was to be a pilot in the old days, especially in Alaska.

Plus a drive to Seward is quite interesting. There's Galcier Park along the way.

Have fun.

abc club as stated before or go down to f street and drink heavily! Not much else to do this time of year. If you go back during daylight months. Peticulrly June. I would suggest going to Seward and doing a whale watching tour. It is great!

I can't belive that the Bush Company didn't rear (ha ha) it's head till post 5... This place is slipping... Good B-Fas across from the Arctic Roadrunner Peanut Co. have fun.. You might be able to catch an Aces game or Seawolves if you are into hockey

Skip the bars.....

1. Take a float plane ride up to the Kinic? glacier. It is cool to see the seaplane base and fly up to the glacier. You'll get a dorky ball cap.

2. rent a car and drive to Seward for a 1/2 day cruise with lunch. You see the rookeries and some glaciers.

2. book a two-day bus/train/boat tour from ANC to Valdese.

4......alright, them hit TC favorite haunting places!!!

Anyone try any skiing at Alyeska?
