What electrical system powers the standby compass? (YOU WON'T BELIEVE HOW MANY NEWBIES GET THIS ONE WRONG!)

And yes, I've actually gotten this question on a PC.

How much does the APU weigh?.... HA, why because you're going to try and remove it yourself for MX? You were joking right? Any check-airman seriously looking for that needs to have his/her cert. pulled.

Now a real question... Why is the MCD the only door on the Doors Syn Page that's outlined in red?

Only for the web site

The questions you send in will only be used on the web site for the benefit of CRJ pilots.

What about...If you fly a crj in South America and "throw a load of darks in the wash", will the blue juice swirl the opposite direction?

Ummm never thought about that one, but I do know the switch is on the overhead panel and is marked STBY COMP DIM, OFF, ON. I'm going to guess at DC ESS? Am I right?? :D :D

How about Make and pressure of the tires?

Temp of heating of the pot H2O system?

Had both of those lately!!

Now if buttered bread when dropped lands butter side down and a cat when dropped lands on it's feet. What happens if you tape buttered bread to a cats back then drop it how will it land??????

APU weights 157 pounds and puts out 52shp !!!!

You forgot to add that it spins at a constant 62,000 RPM, has 9 drains that connect to 5 overboard drain pipes (3 on the right, 2 on the left), uses 2- 1.4 Joule igniters, and has an oil capacity of 4.2 qts.

Get your nose out of the books and get back to work!
