I would recommend that you go to a clinic that knows wtf they are doing. I managed to get them to do typhoid and Hep A and B. They balked about hep B-"we only give that to medical professionals" until I told them I was on a beat up freighter with all kinds of pieces of sharp metal sticking out everywhere to get cut on.

Next time I will do some better research...

Not only that, but you need to worry about the blood supply in these places. If you get badly injured in a car wreck on the way to the airport, you're subject to getting blood that might be contaminated with hepatitis.

Hi!

Never got shots for civilian overseas stuff.

However, I'm going to Lowe's Motor Speedway, and other locations down South, so I better get a TON of different shots for all the bad stuff down there in the boonies!

IDIOTS in NYC and DC!
Totally out of touch with America!

Basically, all the Republicans and Democrats are worthless, money-sucking, corrupted a$$holes who don't give a crap about normal Americans like you and I!

True, however what's really funny (or sad) is that about 80% of the blood used in our hospitals is imported from other countries (probably the same ones you just described) as Americans simply don't donate enough blood. I know they always do a post donation test for hepatitis, etc but still - it's a shame more won’t donate...

Ps. I have been donating for some 15+ years; now I just make sure at least a week+ goes by before I fly…Cleared it with my FAA doc too…

Ps. Some say it can actually be good for you…

Of course, I’m sure other studies will show it’s really bad for you…

skyward80 has confused DEET with DDT. I have heard people mix them up before during conversation.

Ha! remember when the war started and the military was popping gabba gooblim or gooba goblim or whatever they called it.

Rather get gang rapped by the whole primate section at the local zoo than get that again.

Yep, nothing like a cheek-load of ice-cold GG to make your day. Although I think I'd rather go with that again than anything involving gang rape....:erm:

Got the "round the world" regimen in 1998, but haven't had anything since. One of those things I need to get to but just haven't made the time.
