Of course not, but the FAA might, and that's who you should really care about.

CFI's may log all landings, and count them for currency, that are performed when acting as PIC (i.e. student pilots not rated in aircraft).
Just remove the word "official" and you get "here's the word from one guy at the FSDO who happened to be on the phone that day, didn't bother to look it up, answered off the top of his head, doesn't know what he's talking about, and could care less."
