Not all of them, but plenty of them on this board. They do look cool in their leather jackets, and a lot of them look like Maverick in TOP GUN. The girls in LBB all think they are studs.

Bye Bye--General Lee

No I mean just THESE Southwest guys. Sounds like they've had too many corndogs

Any company can use the BK process to shed debt, and that is the way it is. If your company gets into dire straits, then it can do it too. Sure, your credit goes bad for awhile, but anyone can use the system. Don't seem so startled. If you want it to be more strict, move to Russia. President Putin just signed off on a larger merger to compete with Aeroflot called "Aero Union." I guess you want a single leader to decide everyone's fate, eh?

As far as me calling people names, it ALWAYS starts with someone else doing it. I stated that some people might not want to fly for SWA for certain reasons I always state, and SW pilots on here go nuts. They can't believe it---someone doesn't want what they want. Really, it is nuts. So, that is the way it starts. I am entitled to my opinion, as are you. Just be ready to back up your claims like "it really is free money...." Hey, we took large pay cuts, and a BK judge supervised. We became creditors, and in the claim sale investors caused the claims to rise to 60 cents on the dollar. That is how we got the money, and it could have been less since United only got 25 cents on the dollar for their claims.

So, again, you can go and do the BK process if you want to also. I wouldn't wish that on anyone, but it is there for anyone to use if needed. IF you don't like that, move to Moscow.

General,

I have no idea where you're going about the Russia BS.

I certainly don't begrudge you your bankruptcy claims as a creditor. I am glad that you recovered some of what you lost. I truly am. It just appears that you use it to appear as a benefit of working for Delta (especially when debating SWA guys). It is just a portion of what they took from you and what was promised to you. It is not a negotiated reoccurring income.

Anyway, I'm happy that you were able to reclaim some of it. I hope your other employee groups were as fortunate.

General give it a rest....our uniforms look better then yours anyday. However, I like your FAs new uniforms, I think they look sharp.

With 16 flights a day to LBB, and more to MAF, AMA, and HRL, I think you guys have a better chance at landing at a hole than we do. Have fun at Ronkonkama too.

Bye Bye--General Lee

I am one of those pilots (who you think don't exist) that loves the 7 + leg "commuter" schedule that overnights in one of the above-mentioned "holes." What pisses me off is that I can't hold it more often. You see, ATA cured me of my desire for long-haul flying. Even when we do eventually go overseas (it is going to happen BTW) I will still be bidding my -500 to MAF and loving it and the people I fly with. That is what I want to do and one of the reasons I really like this company. Not everybody wants those CDG overnights General.

I have three friends at Delta. All of them were furoulghed and later recalled. Two are now on the MD-88 and one on the 738. Yes, they could all hold bigger planes BUT...they would be junior reserve with no control over their schedules. They all complain about their coworkers and generally hate their job. The captains they fly with were brought on board when Delta hired based on the policy of Navy preferred, Air Force tolerated, all others need not apply. As soon as these guys find out my buds are civilian scum all conversation ceases save what is necessary to operate the airplane. Nice atmosphere for a four day isn't it? One of my friends endured a trip worth of one CA verbally bashing the new hires because they are "mostly commuter pilots who would not have been competitive in years past at Delta."

IMHO an airline needs to hire from all backgrounds to get the best mix of the right people for the job. I have flown with great pilots who are a blast to be around from every background. I don't understand why Delta has this culture of treating some pilots like red-headed step children because of where they came from. Especially someone new on probation or just back from furlough. I originally thought it was just a fluke but I have heard it from multiple people now.

The Genital dosen't even fly the international routes, as he does mainly turns. His arguments would be more credible if he actually practiced what he preaches, but then again, not everyone wants to fly for Delta and share bunkbeds.

Genital will show up at each SWA thread with the same song and dance to start a flame war. He's been doing it for years now. It's kinda funny that he has nothing else to contribute on any other threads that don't deal with SWA or other carriers besides mother Delta.

But most have come to just accept him as the local idiot.

Why do guys stay at that hotel in downtown LA instead of at the crowne or gateway?
