Just shows to go ya that it isn't so much the union, it's the people (reps). We have had many over here saying the exact same things about our union and are convinced that ALPA would solve all our problems. No matter who your union is, they all need members that are informed, engaged, and willing to participate. Apathy is the company's best friend.

Council 81 LEC knows nothing of the sorts, emailed me today that he will "check into it"...smells like trout to me though?

I would love to see Lee Moak out! I have done everything I can to get my feelings accrossed to my LEC since ACL told me to quit bitching and call my reps and I feel it has done DICK! I saved all my emails back and forth and will post them on the Crew Room Door if this goes through. My message: We have extremely inadequate representation. If we are hearing it now wait until post SOC, I feel like they are holding out info but maybe they really are just pawns in a DICKTATORSHIP?

Hoping for the best, JP

Just got of the phone with my rep. He stated in no uncertain terms that this is an internet rumor and that the MEC has not met with the company, nothing has been negotiated, it is not on the table nor will it be. He re-iterated that the entire MEC is aware of how the membership feels about scope and that it is a hot button issue that is not going away.

I will trust him at his word at this point. However, it certainly wouldn't hurt if all the other reps got a few phone calls and emails today to remind them of whom they are representing and how we feel. Also, email the entire MEC.

i'll 2nd that..

I don't doubt for a second that the company will give the union something it wants in return for those birds and any other 100 seat birds, going to Compass. Look at the decisions the DALPA has made in the past.

I'm just saying.....

Im telling you Delta is in Bed with republic. Its all part of the master plan which will probably involve republic buying compass when they are full of 190's

No he is not.

The guys that were elected will do a good job for 44. They all know scope, no matter how big nor how small is not for sale.

As for this. It is a desire, and makes sense. I just think it would be funny if the company thought that DALAP was willing to agree to suicide.

scope relief obviously hasnt produced any positives in the past so why would it now?

no more scope relief!! If they want the planes then by all means we'll fly thiem with delta pilots at the controls

No, I am not a rep...was in LAX displaced to NYC, soon to be displaced to ??? before I even set foot in NYC. But an LEC rep did take the initiative to call me about 15 seconds after I texted him along with the entire LEC. He was very direct in his statements and I trust him at his word.

My solution, Make CPS DAL, and make CPS Pilots DAL pilots....Bait and switch. Enough is enough. Jets and jobs are ours. KMA if you think otherwise.

Would this be your ideal solution if CPS pilots were stapled to the bottom of the list?

The company will also bet you paycheck on it too!

I told everyone this about a month ago. I saw this type of deal coming. It makes such sense for the company to push this. They need the jets for the LGA stuff. The need 100 seats. The MD-90 et al is too big for a lot of it, and the 175 is a bit too small.

I got the impression that the company can ask as much as they want, but that we would never agree to it.

You say they need the seats (100 seaters). Are they looking at just bringing them to mainline in the interest of getting them faster and without the fight from the pilots?

Get them on property then worry about the pay... these planes do not belong at Compass or Republic.

Glad to hear the the rumor is supposedly not true, Im not sure I totally believe that though. Regardless, if Delta needs 100 seaters, be sure they are looking at all options to make it happen.

They need to be at mainline and the current Delta pilots are the ones that can ensure that happens. Good luck!

My solution, Make CPS DAL, and make CPS Pilots DAL pilots.

I have talked to many reps from North and South and they are stating that this is not an option. Then again, I can see us falling for this........

All right I guess I misunderstood the context of your sentence above, thought you were saying that making the CPS pilots DL was not an option!

You did. I have no issue with CPS pilots being DAL pilots. Wrong tree to bark up. I am not one of those types.

This has been around for some time. It may be the companies way of aiming high and hoping to get 255 76 seat jets with no mainline growth restrictions.
