All DAL Pilots:

This cannot be taken lightly, no matter if you are a 777FO or an 88CA!!!

Spent some time the last two days working with a few union guys and company 4th floor types and this is what concerns me. The company wants to get a 100 seater on property badly. The ideal move is apparently to take the 195s and put them at Compass until the C-Series can be announced probably 3 years from now. The company says to the union it would only be temporarily and that then they would put them at mainline. The thought is that a better option would be available then(the C-series maybe) and for the time they could really take advantage of cost structure at Compass. The union is actually entertaining this idea. They feel that a solution can be negotiated and that these 100 seaters will by DAL's good graces come back over to mainline. Are we all naive enough to think that DALs execs will not find a way to never see a DAL seniority list pilot flying those? I cannot over emphasize the need to write every rep current and recently elected and to make sure they are telling the company NO!!! We all fly with guys who stay so far outta touch with this stuff because they think they are senior enough for it not to matter, but it will. Their quality of life will go down and make no mistake....Delta will furlough all the recent new hires if this happens. Lee Moak must hear your voice and it better be now or else I can guarantee that there will be alot of Delta Pilots without jobs very soon. Get to work guys, spread the word, and be heard!!!

God I hope that doesn't happen. Good luck.

Again!

DALPA gave up the RJ's in 1996. I have a feeling they'll do it again. And when they do, APA/AMR will be right behind them.

Scope. It's not just for bad breath.

Maybe with a drop dead timeline but my real reaction is no hell no.....

And to further that reaction you have emailed and called your reps??? If you haven't and assume others have spoken and your reps already know. WRONG!!! They don't I can assure you this after spending the last couple of days with some. There are actually people representing us that feel this would immediately bring profits to Delta and would benefit us as Delta Pilots.

Exactly Halin. The light that was shed my way is that Delta can be an airline only in theory if our executives are allowed to have their way. JVs and contract flying will make up most of Delta in 10 years if this road is allowed to stay the course. JVs make sense don't get me wrong. However, ample protection for Delta Pilots does not exist in this current contract.

Delta pilots, please stop this! No one at Compass should want this to happen either.

Does anyone think if the E-195 goes to Compass it will actually come back to mainline? Or they will buy a C-series (similar 100 seater) to replace a 3-4 year old E-190 only replace it at mainline? There is no way they will do this. Demand the E195 comes to mainline now, if the 100 seats go to contract carriers, those seats are gone forever. Even a 'not so great' payscale for an aircraft type at mainline is better than a ' not so great payscale' at a regional airline. Once they are on DAL property, and their worth is proven, better pay rates could be negotiated. Jetblue has respectable payrates for the E-195, I am sure Delta can respectably match those rates.

If Delta Air Lines management wants/needs a 100 seat aircraft bad enough, they will allow them to be at mainline.

100 seat airliners are NOT RJs and need to be flown by mainline pilots.
