I don't think so. Almost everyone I talk to wants them gone just not enough to take the time to go to a meeting on a day off. Give us a vote from home and I think every one of them would be gone. If I remember correctly the only ones who got reelected last time didn't have anyone running against them. You keep saying let them do their job and see what the TA has in it. At that point it is too late. Most people will vote for whatever is in the TA because they don't want to start all over and wait another 2-5 years for a contract.

Thats a sorry excuse. I wasnt there and voted through a proxy vote. Everyone I talk to think they are doing a decent job so hearsay is pointless, the voting results speaks for itself.

777 needs to mix that koolaid he's gulping down with some vodka, might allow him to open his eyes more and see what's really going on

Right......

Just like "real" elections, if you can't be bothered to vote (proxy or in person), then you don't count.

You don't have to show up to vote. Send in a proxy! Of you're too lazy to do that. STFU

Nice. I'm not based in ATL and I don't have a problem with my lec. I do have a problem with our mec and so does everyone else I talk to. It doesn't matter because after integration they will all be gone. When I have a problem I make my feelings known to my reps.

How would anyone Know what kind of job they are doing??? We have aboslutely no info to go on? How about we all wait and see what kind of contract is negotiated and how integration goes. If they can't speak about negotiations and for good reason, what is everyone upset about?

Stupid question.

Why can't they communicate during negotiations? Is there a confidentiality agreement? If so why?
And was there a confidentiality agreement during the last contract negotiations? I dont remember that, we got an audio MEC update pretty frequently if i recall. If not, what was the difference?

I get an email from the union after every negotiating session with a summary of the session(rightfully so no details) and a chart showing what sections are complete and what sections are still in negotiations. Lately its been showing ALOT more sections complete so the TA is getting close. Everyone that has their email up to date with ALPA should get an update. ASA Connection. I get an email at least twice a week from them so I dont get why folks are whining about communication.

I'll share my reasoning briefly. When I heard that there were no plans in place after a successful recall, I lost interest in what was going on. I was not interested in creating a power vacuum. If there had been an idea of who may run for these positions, I would have looked further into it.

I'd say the Reps got lucky that there were no plans past a recall.

Yeah it should be following seas and smooth sailing now that they've TA'ed the really contentious sections like "Definitions" and "Prisoner, Hostage, or Hijacking Benefits"...

funny stuff, neither one of those two are evening posting on the alpo board, especially The Palm, guess the LEC guys didn't get the full hand from The Palm huh

Everytime I see the Palm in ops, he has a crowd around him. He just likes to hear himself talk, and that is all. I've never seen someone speakso much, of so little, to so many.

Well, his stories of hitting the LZ is the jungles of Cambodia and following the Denang river into Laos searching for POW's are quite entertaining!
