Laid off an hour ago!

I was laid off last monday and driving a dump truck by thursday.

Thanks to all of for your honesty, support and optimism. I was laid off in south Carolina a year ago, then started flying out of vegas. I spent the weekend fly fishing and going to hit the job trail hard this week and see what comes up. I would not be suprised if I end up flight instruction on the Colorado river this summer. I guess it could be worse!!

Oh yeah, sorry for the double post on corporate and charter. I accidently posted twice while on the phone with Nevada unemployment.

Sorry to hear about the OP's furlough but the line is stretching around the block now.

Dodged a bullet after September 2001....

Got the pinkslip in March of 2004.....

Ducked another one in 2006...

Then twice within six months (Q4 2008 and Q1 2009). I actually said, "I can't wait for 2008 to be over because it really sucks!" WOOPS!!!

So I'm batting 2 for 5 on furloughs and that's not good.

Time to whip out the orange apron. You boys enjoy yourselves in the pool. I'm making room for others.



I hope my kids grow up to hate airplanes...
