Thanks for a great time in MCO! You guys are truly a class act. If these Roundups are any indication, AirTran pilots can expect many good times in the future.

I would like to sincerely apologize for a few things on the AT side as well. First, I think its a shame our Merger Committee showed up... again. Both sides made it clear these Roundups were not for SLI discussion, yet ALPA sent their Merger guys to both events (I don't think SWAPA brought a single MC guy).
Second, on behalf of ALL AT pilots, I'm sorry for the numerous comments by Dave VM to SWAPA guys. He's a management guy who is probably worried about his future. He said quite a few inflammatory things to different people. He even told one former-AT pilot how much he f-ed up by leaving for SWA years ago. What an embarrasment!

Thanks again SWAPA!!! Good thing lie ahead for us all!

Why would you have the functions if SWA will keep AT and SWA as separate entities within the holding company? That's what Bill Nelson said on here anyway......just a waste of dues otherwise. Unless......

To lazy to look this up, but I would also like to know who Dave VM is and what he does at SWA? You implied he was management...at AT before he came to SWA or just a wannabe a$$hole that seems to be prevalent at every company?

Dave VM is not a fleet manager. He's the Director of Flight Ops Training.

Apologies to the SWAPA peeps who had to deal with that. You'd think that agendas would get checked at the door on a night when we're supposed to be just enjoying the LUV, asking questions about what we have to look forward to, and making new friends in the biz.

Sorry I didn't make it, was stuck in CUN. Yeah, sounds better than it was, 66 and raining. When it warms up, we'll probably get moved out of our ocean-front 4-star resort into a La Quinta. ;)
 
I would think its ok for MC guys from both sides to attend. Just leave your MC hat at the door relax and have a good time.
 
Malibu, I like your enthusiasm, but you're starting to sound like "Mastercraft" on APC. Your first post was on the "deal called off" thread, and you posted as if you were a SWA pilot:

Isn't swa AQUIRING airtran? What could you possibly need to negotiate with your company, as far as a transition agreement? Our transition agreement will allow our management to operate airtran, which is in violation of our cba. The RJs, red-eyes, stand-ups, etc, all things we don't do per our cba. That will be the point of a transition agreement.

BTW, the answer to the first question is...YES.

Now, you're an AirTran pilot? Something isn't adding up. :cool:
 
Don't worry he hasn't flown in years and probably can't pass a checkride. He is just a management stooge.


Remember that video that came out with our head cheese of training? Well he is a great guy and leader. I just don't want some doosh bag mgt guy coming in from AT thinks he is going to win over our mgt. I will tell you all the former AT guy's have made personal phone calls to insure that people like him doesn't come here and try to belittle the SWA guys and our future brothers and sisters. What a idiot. Any who, I heard you guys at mco got some educational pieces that give you a better insight on SWA and our contract?

Unfortunately I could not make it. An as far as that guy coming over as management I would highly doubt it. Maybe a line pilot if he can get current again but that is unlikely.
