The -300 autopilot, specifically the flight guidance system, is about 100 times more intuitive than the -200. I think, if memory serves, there were 5 steps in getting the flight director hooked up with the autopilot after level off in the -200. In the -300 the flight director and the autopilot "talk" to each other (are interrelated), so clicking on the autopilot is a matter of moving a lever, selecting a heading and altitude (can be preloaded prior) and rolling on.
