They sure do. I believe they are ashtrays, specifically designed to hold nonfiltered Camel and Pall Mall cigarettes.
Further, they may also be used during training/checkrides. The instructor simply places a nice big Cigar in the
receptacle, which due to its location in the windshield, will cause the smoke to create IFR conditions and hence, instrument skills
may be tested. I have been told, that Swisher Sweets may be used during normal line checks and for smoke/fire drills, whereas type rides, requires a Cohiba.:)

When testing or checking is not taking place, they also do duty as a coin holder for the parking meter.

Sky, sweet pad. I think I need your job!

Where is the airpark?
4n0 ( Four November Zero) is 9.2 DME from AZO.
I posted link to pics, then removed, but here they are again. Completion date is June 8, hence a lot of dirt that will in time be grass. Hangar allows me to turn the plane around inside. Takes a lot of back and forth, but better than sliding out backwards to the road, or trying to push in backwards from road (oops, I mean taxi way!)
Open house, Parade of Homes, is June 11. Final inspection June 9. A lot to do between now and then. Then I can sit out on the deck and enjoy BBQ. Have wine cooler in kitchen, working on beer dispenser for down stairs.

Anybody know where I can eat BBQ while watching chem trails?
My house. I was watching late night Chem Trails (neve saw them at night, before). It was way cool. Had some BBQ, sitting on what will soon be a completed deck. Nice thing about the deck is it's all composite, don't have to worry about the greas staining it.

A steam gauge orgy. No kids or PFT allowed by the way.

Hey bud, be nice. Them there PFT'rs are top notch. They
have no problem getting jobs at the best airlines. If you
don't believe that, just ask a PFT'r.

enigma

I thought I was being nice...

...compared to some of the other things I've read...

...the "two round things". Those are cup holders.

The ash trays are in the arm rests.

I like the MEL stickers all over the overhead panel!

Planes are the same no matter what their age...

I am now sorta confused. Do you just pay for you initial training to get into a PFT or all your training (including recurrency training)?

If they only pay for their initial training, how is this worse than someplaces in the 135 world?

If I had $20k to burn, I would go out and use it for a downpayment on a cheap multi. Insurance would kill me but I would fly that thing into dust during my first few months. Own it 6 months and get 400 hours out of it. I figure it would only cost you ~100k to do this in a cheap multi and you would get some back when you sell the aircraft.

So Mar,

"...the "two round things". Those are cup holders."
So are the cutouts for old style, China, coffe cups?

China? Sure. Kept next to the silver.

Yeah, I think the cutouts are for handles but they happen to fit the handles on frosty mugs as well.

I'm kidding.

We drink our beer out of styrofoam cups like everyone else.

"Just wanted to show y’all my new office!!! "

This was his title for the post but I was thinking, can you really call it an "office" if you pay for it? Wouldn't they have to pay you in order to call it an office?

Sounds like a cheap outfit, no steins for you!

Smoked a great Brisket over the holiday ;)
So did I, my personal best so far. Even smoked a Pork shoulder butt that turned out some killer pulled pork sandwiches...a few brews, awesome!

I got so excited reading that post that I wanted to rush right out and wake my banker up for the money to buy me one of them there jobs. All I could think about was how many BBQ places i could find out on the road. Of course I could not go inside to buy anything, but I could say I was there. It is flaming hammer time. Let him have it. What a joke of a flaming post.

Wow, that looks a lot like my office. Only they're paying ME 20k to sit there. Imagine that. Pretty ironic, as I write this there's a commercial on Disc Wings for PanAm academy as a fast-track to the airlines.
(Insert sarcasm here)
Wow, with all that flight time, I can see how it is so easy to be condescending.
Cut the kid a break!

How would you compare that deck to a wood model?

Sound, feel, etc?
It's Xtendex, a hollow composite, with clips so no screw holes. Pretty cool stuff.

light in weight, has some flex, like wood, sounds like wood, and unlike some of the other stuff, has the appearance of wood. wouldn't put it in the BBQ though, meat would taste funny.
