Just got the call for NetJets!!!

I ran into a 680 crew the other day (they are all ok ) and they looked beat. They said they were flying quite a bit. I flew 30 hours in seven days but went to some cool places.

I hear both the G200 and the Sovereign fleets are getting a lot busier relative to some other fleets. Although the XL/XLS and X fleets still have them beat. If you like overtime I guess those are the fleets to aim for...

Both.

We have hourly overtime payments that kick in after 12 hours on duty in a given day. Or, if you report before 8am on your first day (as I did today), all time before 8am and all time after 9 hours of duty pays the overtime. (The rate is your annual salary, divided by 2184 hours, and multiplying the result by 1.5. A year 1 guy on the 7/7 would earn $39.06/hr, for example.)


We also earn "Extended days," which pay 1.5 times your daily rate. Those are paid for working extra days (of course), working on one of our 10 designated holidays (I cleaned up last weekend, with Good Friday and Easter!), and if the company doesn't get you home before midnight on your last day (that pays two of them). On the 7/7, the daily rate is your annual salary divided by 182 (then multiply by 1.5 for the extended day rate). For a first year guy, that's $468.75.

Amen to that started this tour with a 0720 show and did a 14 hour duty day.

Also I was just reviewing my last paycheck, didn't realize the 7n7 hourly rate was so much less than the 18 day. I got 47.52 per hour.

My husband was very pleased that he was able to fly the line last weekend, too. Luckily, I have some pull with the Easter Bunny and he allowed me to reschedule his visit for tomorrow morning...

Everyone keeps saying how busy the XL fleet is. Over the last two months I have averaged 10 hours a tour and no overtime, however two holidays last weekend did help. I have not seen an extended day since last September and I volunteer to come out every tour early and stay out longer. Oh, and by the way, today is day one, and at home I sit. However, I do understand that everything at NJA runs in cycles. I am just waiting for the hammer to drop and to fly my rear off, or atleast until I call uncle.

I am on the XL too and haven't worked too hard for quite a few months. First three days of this last tour, I didn't leave the state of Texas with a total of four legs. Slept in my own bed on nights one, two, and six. Had one day that was four legs. Other than that, my only other "long day" was a 2.5 hour limo to ferry a plane 14 minutes and done.

I think we have enough XL's now with the 680 picking up a lot of the slack. I hardly get any overtime anymore, but with the pay raise I am happy to work less and make more. Hard to complain about that.

I am in the Mountain time zone and I start 99% of my tours out west. Usually means spending day one travel, 2,3,4 out west, 5 and 6 working my way east and day 7 flying home. If you really want to get upset, I have been to the new First Aviation once and that was the 2nd day they were there. Just talking to another XL pilot today, I would have to look at the airport diagram to see how to get to it.

XL not that busy??? I wish! Like CA1900 said, the last three tours have been busy. This last tour started with a 400am show with a 13.5 hour day. I haven't had a show that early since IOE over 2 years ago. This tour I think I did 17 hours , the previous tour was 22 and the one before that was right at 20. I'm on the 15 day flex too!! All tours on the last day I would fly 1 rev flight followed by a ferry to airline home. Those 680s have been keeping busy too!
