So, I'm a furloughed airline guy. I'm supposed to have 6 months of jumpseat privileges after my furlough date. The TSA made my company take away my I.D. Badge, so I can't jumpseat. I hear their trying to work that problem out, but it'll never happen in time. SO, I've got a job working for my old 135 operator, but they're moving me out of the base where I live and back to my old base 3/4 of the way across the country. We have no scheduled service, and rarely fly back (to my) home. So how can I get back and forth? I usually have weekends off, and I've got a house, family, etc. here in ATL. The company that I'm furloughed from doesn't offer service where I'm going, so I can't ride on them.
HERE'S THE BIG QUESTION: I've got a badge with my 135 operator. What is the likelihood of me getting on a flight as a jumpseater(riding in the back, of course)? Or are there any other suggestions?
Thanks for any advice.
