Right. Someone pointed out to Congress that their own tax-free perks might be next on the IRS chopping block. If the issue comes up again, they may decide to allow such taxes and simply enact exemptions for themselves.

I used a ZED fare from Sydney to Cairns last summer on Qantas. It was reasonably priced and the cabin crew was fantastic.
