You make a good point and I was thinking about it before I got home. I do not support the literal violence depicted in the video BUT! figuratively this SFlaX whatever guy did the exact thing that surfer did at pipe. So I totally agree with you there.

sflax,

You're a moron.

maybe they didnt have the exact same conditions in their agreement like HAL did?

now you're a hypocrite.. you blasted someone else for judging and skipping a trial and in the same thread you show your a$$ by doing the same thing. only this time you're stating your claim as fact as if you have all the inside information on the deal.

if you are so right, why dont you back it up with the specifics of the case along with some case law.

Better watch out if you see him paddling out on a sponge looking pissed!

One last thing, why is what Mesa doing bad and what Southwest/JetBlue and all the other LLC's okay. Look at all the US Air/United/American Guys whom lost their jobs B/C of those operations. And by the way, name calling just shows lack of control on your emotions. Its okay, taking welfare is not so bad, here comes Mesa.

Mesa sucks and JO is the bggest POS in the industry. You can thank him for the race to the bottom and for JB's low rates on the E-190. It's starting to pit the majors against each other now. As long as basic indoc classes are getting filled at this 3rd world airline then it will never change. If you want to be a 121 pilot then this is what you can expect. Just the facts.

I sense a loss of emotional control:

gibbering idiot
classless puke

... and my favorite, cancerous whore of the industry.

Somebody buy this kid a hot lunch and hit him in the face with a Mack truck.

i dont understand... are you incapable of critical thinking? did you have a hard time with the old sesame street game "which one of these things is not like the other?"

the difference between what mesa is doing and swa is the whole reason for the lawsuit....

i hope you dont need everything spelled out for you like this.

No, you can thank yourself and your fellow pilots.

What the fu*k happened to the mesa pilots these days? I remember a few years ago they all wanted JO pushing up daisys nowdays they're defending him! The silence from these hundreds of mesa pukes reading these Hawaii threads proves they have no spine, no heart, no will to fight. Mesa will lose! They are coming to Hawaii with a severe disadvantage. Hawaiian and Aloha have the home court advantage. After JO spends a few MIL trying to beat this rap and all his other expenses he will be out a lot of cash and mesa hasn't even sold one ticket yet. Something tells me there are going to be plenty more surprises in Hawaii for mesa.

The only reason a mesa pilot should be bidding hawaii is to help Hawaiian and Aloha crush JO. Write up everything on outstations and then quit without any notice on a busy weekend for a better job at southwest or jetblue or great lakes, mcdonalds, whatever.

You ought to know since you work for MESA. I can also guarantee you one thing: Mesa will not make money, and will run back to the mainland within a year. I will take bets if you like. 50 seat RJ's in an over-saturated market. Even though you guys make dog$hit wages, you're costs still won't be low enough. In addition to all of that, moving expenses for crews (if your contract has a provision for that, if not you're screwed), the costs involving the initial start up, etc. I won't resort to name calling (although you really do come across as a complete jack-ass), and I don't have anything against the Mesa pilot's who do end up in HNL. It amazes me that anyone with half of a brain thinks that Mesa will be successful in their Hawaii adventure. One last rant before I leave for NAP; HAL is smart enough, and savvy enough to have fully thought through this lawsuit. If they filed it, it has legal merit. But, believe what you want since you and your CL 65 experience has obviously taught you everything there is to know about the airline industry. Also have fun laughing about people collecting welfare. You know what's funny? When I was furloughed from HAL, I was probably making more collecting unemployment than you made flying your RJ.

i'll make money when I own all them pretty airplanes with those mahus on the tail.... And all you metrohomosexual pilots too! Ummmm Yummy!

what kills me about all these responses by mesa pilots is that.....you have probably never been to hawaii...and if you have, it wasn't long enough to undertand the people and how hawaii works....
the people are loyal....they are loyal to companies that have been here for a long time and that were started by locals...not to mention most people have family or friends that work for the current three companies.....word of mouth is STRONG in hawaii....mesa may show up and try to tap in....the only people that mey bite are the tourists that don't know any better....but, don't think word of mouth won't get around to the marketing departments of the tourism industry....

BS. Why do you think everyone's newly proposed pay cuts are always addressed by management as Mesa +/- a certain %?

Please, have some dignity and don't cry to me that managment is trying to cut your wages. That's not my fault. If what you think, that Mesa's causing all regional problems, is true, than all you have to do is just say no, and all our regional problems will go away.

RP170 said:
If that hasn't caused the difficulties of regional pilots' life then what has?

Oh lets see, could it be the entire regional airline system is totally screwed up? ALPA is ineffectual, the mainline pilots manipulate your contract through scope, the republicans, who are anti-labor, (which is anti-you,) are in power and running a government that is pro-business. If you haven't noticed the national trend that CEOs make more, and workers make less, I don't know what to tell you. And then there's Fuel prices, and september 11... and on and on. You can blame Mesa all you want, but there will always be an airline that is making the least amount. That airline is not the reason your life sucks. Look at the wages and QOL of any non-regional airlines, any one, and compare that to any regional, and you'll understand that all regionals suck, some more than others, but none are good.

Blame Mesa all you want. It's easy, it makes you feel good. Unfortunately it is neither the problem, nor in anyway the solution.

But enjoy your misplaced blame. I hope you sleep well after your useless attacks of Mesa pilots, knowing you are contributing nothing to improving your life, or the problems at regional airlines.

RP170 is right.

Everytime there is a concessionary contract, it has always referred to "MESA +/-"

Nice try buddy, stop trying to cover up. YOU are the one trying to make yourself feel better with the scapegoat.

That's right, listen to what managment is telling you. They know what's going on...

What kills me is that you think this forum is representative of Mesa pilots.

I don't know that most Mesa pilots care if Mesa succeeds in Hawaii... That doesn't mean some won't go there and work... Nice place to visit for awhile. I think we all know this is a temporary affair. Even the evil JO has the attitude that if this fails, so what? Not much of a cost to Mesa to try it out. So that may say it all. If you start something and are already prepared to fail, you probably will.

What kills me about MESA PILOTS is you guys should be happy were about to have your CEO hung out to dry and you worthless pieces of dirt are defending him. You guys (defending JO) make me sick to my stomach and ASHAMED I ever was a mesa pilot myself.

If this doesn't apply to you then no offense... Dont take it personal, know what I mean!

As an airline pilot making $100-$200K a year, the democrats are anti-ME. See I am the rich that "the tax cuts are for". Democrats think that they own my paycheck and whatever I keep I should be grateful for. That I find most offensive. Whatever has happened at HA has had nothing to do with Dem vs. Rep. It is ironic that the owner of Yucaipa is a huge democrat friend and contributor. Why did they cut the pensions if it is republicans who are the enemy. Oh, that's right you simpleton, IT's NOT A FU**ING POLITICAL ISSUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Right... because it's my fault the country's the way it is... and regional's suck because of the regional pilots... YUP. That's a great complex argument based on facts, data, reason, history, provable thesis... Something a simpleton like me can really wrap my mind around.

Lets blame the pilots! There couldn't be any other reasons regionals suck.

Hey "the 8"

Who is blaming the regional pilots for anything?????

The whole issue in this thread is over Mesa breaking a confidentiality agreement. I think that Hawaiian has a good case. Mesa cannot come into the market and undercut prices AND make money. The CASM and Mesa's business model won't allow it. Regionals are not LCC's, they are HCC's (actually VERY HIGH CC's) they cannot compete because of the high CASM.
That said, HA isn't bound to just let a competitor look at their confidential internal #'s then use them to become a competitor. We'll see what the courts say. Our point is why would you agree with the proven liar over HA??

I wasn't the one who interjected politics, but I am the one who points out how irrelevant they are here.

As a fee-for-departure regional, Mesa may be a juggernaut. But as a stand-alone LCC, it'll be crushed. No local name recognition. No established fare structure. High CASM CRJs. Hey wait a minute...didn't a similar scenario play out recently in IAD? Wasn't that also a miserable failure?
